Executive Chef Jessica Roy brings her fresh interpretation and style to Garden and Farm-to-Table cuisine right inside the botanical oasis that is Sherman Library and Gardens. Daily pickings from the Gardens and local farms populate the ever changing seasonal menu that highlights the best and most flavorful ingredients of the season. Look for ingredients at their peak, stunning edible blooms and herbs right from the Sherman grounds, and cuisine that is nothing short of inspired and delicious. .

Please note: we are located within the Sherman Library and Gardens, to which there is a $5.00 per person admission fee. Each admission supports the Sherman Gardens (a non-profit organization), who maintain the sweeping panoramic views that our diners get to enjoy! Beautiful place, great ambiance, wonderful food, excellent service, and our table had a perfect open view of the Christmas tree! I love the tartan plaid blankets offered to keep us warm, nice touch. It’s a tad pricey but worth it. We’ll be back for sure.

We went for lunch on a weekday and it was pretty crowded. I was surprised. Our server, Andrew was very attentive and did not hesitate to make recommendations, which we both loved.

The food and drinks were amazing and creative. The Soup and Sammi couldn't have been any better... just the perfect lunch for the day after Christmas. My favorite spot in Newport for lunch. A perfect place to bring out-of-town guests for a delightful walk through the gardens before lunch. The holiday decor I wanted to bring g it all home! So beautifully decorated including seasonal throws in case it's a little chilly.

I loved the food and ambiance and I love supporting a female chef and owner. But… the table service (not the hostess) and the meal service were atrocious. It was offensive how long we waited for service and food in an otherwise beautiful setting. I still recommend the place but enter with patience. Kudos to the chef and hostess!

The gardens are especially beautiful with all of the decorations during the holiday season, and the food at 608 Dahlia was presented in an equally beautiful way. My wife had the seasonal veggie quiche and I had the pan-seared salmon. We enjoyed our flavorful meals and the excellent service, but it was a little cool sitting on the side patio without any sun. There was a heat lamp nearby, but it didn't seem to give off too much heat, so we still felt a bit of a chill in the air. If you go in the winter, dress warmly, so you can focus on enjoying the lovely surroundings and the food.

Took my friend to 608 Dahlias for her birthday and she love it! We both had the braised short ribs and the meat was so tender and delicious. The service was excellent and we had an amazing waiter. After our meal we enjoyed an apple tart and a tiramisu…delicious 👌🏻 Thanks for making my friend’s birthday so special by giving her a rose 🌹 Cris

We enjoyed the salad, soup, and biscuits, and everything was great! Loved the atmosphere, but I don't like the $5 admission fee when you are eating at the restaurant:(

This restaurant never disappoints. One of our favorite places. Getting to dine there in the evening and taking in the garden lights was magical.
