   Blown away on last visit, so expectations were high today. Really didn't disappoint. Delicious quail followed by rabbit - sauces particularly delicious. Great bread to mop everything up. Staff excellent and even recommended the house white to pair one dish which is pretty unheard of. Not cheap - £49/two courses, but the cooking really is a notch up.

   The food is delicious, subtle flavours, great combinations and perfectly cooked. The portion size is perfect. The presentation appetising. The tables are well spaced, there is no music and although the restaurant was full it was quiet. It has a charming ambience. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and efficient, nothing is too much trouble.

   French restaurant with a very reasonably priced lunch menu. All 3 meals were nice, flavourful, and beautifully presented. Salmon ravioli with bisque sauce was one of the best I tried. Potatoes are also highly recommended!

   This has to be the food experience of the year so far. The service was excellent but the food was extraordinary. My tip: Have the cod - best cod I have ever tasted.

    If any restaurant deserves a Michelin star it's this one. Well done. We have been fortunate enough to eat here every month since it opened ( thanks to a fabulous review from Giles Coren in The Times.) Every month the food and the wine have been astonishingly good and the service has been impeccable. Yesterday's highlights were my smoked eel vol au vont and the crepes Suzette. Whilst Steve's highlights were the artichoke starter and duck which was cooked perfectly. And to have a gorgeous bottle of Graves for £55 was a steal. I must book for the end of March. Congratulations to Stuart and the whole team, both kitchen and front of house ( and the cleaners.) He has assembled a brilliant team and constructed brilliant menus. Don't go just because it's got a star, go because it's wonderful.
