                                                                            We frequent this restaurant often because we live close by. We love popping in for happy hours and drinks at the bar but every time we are seated for a dinner it’s a terrible experience. The last time we had dinner we sat for 20 minutes without anyone coming over to our table. Walked up to the bar, ordered drinks and let the bartender know that our server had not come over yet. No one ever came! We ended up leaving and going to Bricktops. Last night returned with some friends and our server seemed rude, rushed and bothered. He would ask if we needed anything and before anyone could answer would walk away. We ordered root beer floats as dessert and he brought the ice cream and set it down with a heavy hand and said “you can have orange or cream soda, we are out of root beer” The whole vibe was just weird. Frontenac and Ladue have many great restaurants and I think moving forward we will stick with something other than 801 Local if we are expecting a dinner experience.

                                                                            Food was great. Crab dip and lobster ravioli were amazing. Wine was so good and great price. And best was our server Bret. Def will be back soon!

                                                                            The food was great our server, Michael, was not very attentive or seem interested in serving us. We visited the night before and had an awesome experience which made this particular day very noticeable in comparison.

                                                                            Too many menu items not available. Too much change. Made ‘early bird’ reservation for 5:15 but no tables available. Big disappointment!

                                                                            Food was amazing as was the service. The baked brie and the Shrimp Louis salad were terrific. And we met the manager who donated a gift card to the non-profit I work for and that was really cool!
