We do our best to accommodate dietary restrictions and food allergies (which require at least 48 hours of advance notice), but not all dietary request may be accommodated. This multi-course, beautifully presented meal leaves you so satisfied, appreciative of the care, thought, presentation and quality of the amazing food. Every small course is delicious and beautiful in its own manner, with accents of caviar, parsley dust, house-made dashi and details such as this that intrigue you mind and your palate. The quiet ambiance allows the chef to explain how each course was curated, while he is assembling the dishes in front of the guests. Worth the drive to Foster City; the last time we dined, someone had come from Marin County, and last night, a young couple had driven up from San Jose. Well-worth the expense, a memorable gastro event, for certain. Must go for your next special event.

Service was excellent, but a little on the slow side. Not a big deal. Food was very good too. Only thing I didn't appreciate was the spice in the food. Spicy food isn't something that I expect or appreciate when I'm eating Japanese food. Also, dessert was a little too tarty for me. Dessert should be sweet, not tarty in my opinion anyways. Otherwise, I think the price is very reasonable for the experience you get. We will come back another time for sure. Hopefully no more spicy food and sweeter dessert :-)

Very good presentation of all dishes. Food and sushi were all fresh and tasty. Service was excellent, would definitely come back.

This is one of the best tasting menu's I've experience, highly recommended. It was flawless, highest quality (premium uni, A5 wagyu, all from Japan), the owners are the nicest folks, the presentation of everything is incredible. This place and its tasting menu is a hidden gem.

Food was super good. I loved the tastes and the creativity of the dishes. There were not tons of nigiri that's that heavy, the mixture of different types of dish and flavor was very well balanced. The chef Robert was very friendly, perfection oriented. Staffs were very friendly too. Would highly recommend if you're not looking for "traditional" asian food and like to taste new things.
