Enjoy the breathtaking waterfront views, sparkling starry night skies, and refreshing breezes of our outdoor balcony, or opt for indoor air-conditioned seating to beat the heat (which can be a must in North Queensland!).

Our restaurant's name, A Touch of Salt, is a play on our family name, Brine. In 2005, we started as a family business, and our family-style approach of offering genuine hospitality and meals designed for conversation has always been the heart of A Touch of Salt. Over the years, we have perfected our restaurant to become one of the best casual fine-dining restaurants in the North.

We take pride in being appreciated by the locals of Townsville as well as travellers from all over Australia.

              From the moment we entered we felt cared for. The whole evening was fantastic. Our meal was delicious. The Octopus was especially flavoursome. The service was prompt, friendly and respectful. Thank you.

              Tucked away in a side street, this unassuming restaurant is a food lovers heaven. It really is a gastronomic delight and when in Townsville, I recommend you go. Don't miss out as A Touch of Salt will not disappointment. Food was amazing to say the least, the restaurant itself is very tastefully decorated and the staff all very happy and attentive. The atmosphere just elevates the food too. Loved our evening there. ATouch of Salt certainly has won our taste buds.

              Meal was delicious. Slightly overcooked. Had to wave staff down for a drink in the middle of meal otherwise attentive. Music a little too loud for a intimate conversation. Overall a great experience.

              We went here for my daughters birthday. Everyone loved the food. The wait staff were really professional and considerate. We really enjoyed the food.

              First time diners at A Touch of Salt was a lovely and delicious experience! We sat outside and ordered the kangaroo, steak, lamb, carrots and white wine. Compliments to the chef, everything was 10/10, absolutely scrumptious. Thank you every one of the staff that made our gift dinner special and memorable.
