A great restaurant meal can be an act of storytelling and transportation. Sliding onto a stool at a bar, being met with a classy and silky martini punctuated with a briny olive, is there to prepare you for a plate of finely-shucked oysters that were bobbing in the Atlantic 36 hours ago. In this moment the noise and cacophony can melt away, your phone finds its way back into your pocket, and we find communion with those of us on our left and right.

We place a premium on doing the work to find producers, growers, and ranchers that have values that align with our own. It’s our desire to bring food to your table that speaks to its sense of place and time, and to be able to bring the connection to those producers to a higher level of consciousness.

                                                                                                            This was our first time at A5. Our server, Ashley AKA Ash was incredible from the get go. She organized the courses that they all came out timely. We all enjoyed the food. We had the hamachi and beef tartare for appetizer, followed by wedge salads- all shared. For entrees we ordered the scallops, Picanha steak and salmon. For me, I would order the salmon with the miso sauce on the side- a little salty. We were seated upstairs which was great as we wanted a quieter area. We can’t wait to come back again!

                                                                                                            The food was excellent and our server, Carlos, was great. The only negative was the hostess. There were two of us plus our infant, and the hostess was extremely rude because we had an infant with us even though I indicated it in our reservation. He acted like his whole night was ruined, and furthermore gave us so much attitude when we told him we could leave the stroller somewhere and just hold our baby. Not the service I would expect from a high end restaurant and really left a sour taste in our mouths.

                                                                                                            Absolutely phenomenal… From the starters and cocktails to the steaks and sides. One of the best meals I’ve had in Denver in a while.

                                                                                                            For the most part the food is really good. That pork belly appetizer was mind-blowing. Tri-tip was good, but not amazing, same as the lettuce wraps. Drinks are decent. Great dinner for about half the price.... Dropping $300 on this wasn't a solid value.

                                                                                                            Always a great experience with Mark and his team. A group of 6 with two young diners, late flights, changing reservations…they handled it with grace and we had a wonderful dinner. Val was really professional and fun. One of our go to spots for dinner with guests and for us to pop in during happy hour for a great burger at the bar. Top notch steaks and sides.

                                                                                                            This was my first visit to A5. The food was very good, the meat high quality and perfectly cooked. For the price, the service was a bit underwhelming. My server was not particularly knowledgeable about allergies or engaged. And when there was a miscommunication between the server and my dining partner about her next drink - these things happen - the server corrected the error but was a bit passive aggressive about it. The space itself is ugly and cavernous, with hideous art, and the high ceilings make it somewhat cold. The wine list is fine but uninspired and uncreative. Really not what I was expecting from somewhere that's supposed to be at the forefront of Denver dining.
