A great restaurant meal can be an act of storytelling and transportation. Sliding onto a stool at a bar, being met with a classy and silky martini punctuated with a briny olive, is there to prepare you for a plate of finely-shucked oysters that were bobbing in the Atlantic 36 hours ago. In this moment the noise and cacophony can melt away, your phone finds its way back into your pocket, and we find communion with those of us on our left and right.

We place a premium on doing the work to find producers, growers, and ranchers that have values that align with our own. It’s our desire to bring food to your table that speaks to its sense of place and time, and to be able to bring the connection to those producers to a higher level of consciousness.

For the most part the food is really good. That pork belly appetizer was mind-blowing. Tri-tip was good, but not amazing, same as the lettuce wraps. Drinks are decent. Great dinner for about half the price.... Dropping $300 on this wasn't a solid value.

Always a great experience with Mark and his team. A group of 6 with two young diners, late flights, changing reservations…they handled it with grace and we had a wonderful dinner. Val was really professional and fun. One of our go to spots for dinner with guests and for us to pop in during happy hour for a great burger at the bar. Top notch steaks and sides.

This was my first visit to A5. The food was very good, the meat high quality and perfectly cooked. For the price, the service was a bit underwhelming. My server was not particularly knowledgeable about allergies or engaged. And when there was a miscommunication between the server and my dining partner about her next drink - these things happen - the server corrected the error but was a bit passive aggressive about it. The space itself is ugly and cavernous, with hideous art, and the high ceilings make it somewhat cold. The wine list is fine but uninspired and uncreative. Really not what I was expecting from somewhere that's supposed to be at the forefront of Denver dining.

Such a great restaurant with amazing flavor combinations! The steaks are so delicious and the sauces are great. The cabbage was my favorite vegetable tonight because they burst with flavor. This is one of our go to restaurants in Lodo. Definitely worth the visit. Our server Joseph was super attentive and helpful with menu suggestions…say yes to the espresso martini shots for dessert!

Excellent choice for our family pre-holiday dinner. We enjoyed the Hamachi and wedge salad to share as appetizers, then came Japanese Milk Bread, Mac and Cheese croquets all before the amazing steaks and chicken. Its a great place for special occasions.

Great experience with a lovely waiter (Ash)! Food was much more adorable than expected and the sides were particular good.

I expected more of a fine dining place. It felt like a bar not a restaurant. The food was very good but I probably wouldn’t go back when looking for a nice place with ambience to dine.
