Located in Historic Downtown Freehold, Aarzu Modern Indian Bistro presents an exceptional upscale dining experience.
Modern Indian cuisine is making rapid strides. Today, it has moved beyond the realms of fusion gourmet. At Aarzu, we are taking the Indian cuisine out of the butter chicken and curry circle. The focus is on taste, texture and presentation. While the cooking method remains the same, our recipes involve diverse elements and unique food pairings with presentation being the focal point. After all, we do eat with our eyes first! Our innovative menu also brings to light the regional culinary diversity of India.

    I ordered the samosa , naan , butter chicken, cashew chicken. Everything was tasty and flavorful. The cashew chicken was in a velvety cream sauce infused with cashews. The food excellent overall. Presentation was very nice as well. Service was so so not good but just ok. I waited 10 minutes for waiter to come over so I could order more rice for my delicious food. I would definitely recommend this place!! The food is amazing

    Aarzu is a favorite of ours. The food is always excellent. Today we had salmon curry and tandoori shrimp. Both superb. Great service too. See you soon Aarzu!

    Awesome food & presentation. We went there last year for Valentines too. It’s simply exceptional. Service & management this time was a bit chaotic. We were on time for our 800 pm reservation but could get seated only at 8:30 pm. Delicious 8 course meal but it started for us at 9:15 and then subsequent courses got delayed. We finished dinner by 11:30 pm…wayyyy too late than expected Last year (2024) things moved much more smoothly. If you have time and in no rush then this place is worth it. Bit pricey but then you don’t go out for a fancy dinner every day 🙂

    AARZU keeps getting better. This Indian bistro with interesting and clever “fusion takes” on traditional recipes was terrific last night with their seven course valentines tasting dinner. Recommend highly next year. It was completely sold out this year and expect that it will be again and again in the years to come!

    Service, food, presentation. All outstanding and atmosphere as well. We can’t say enough. We’ve been there twice for Valentine’s Day and we couldn’t have made a better choice. We highly recommend it and we look forward to visiting their new restaurant in Asbury
