Nice atmosphere and creative menu with good quality ingredients. Enjoyed the food. Service was very uneven. Slow and food came out at random intervals. Had to wait a long time for drinks and certain items. Worth trying for lunch.

The food is excellent, but the service is awful. We had to cancel a dish that never showed up. And then we paid the bill. Only to be told that we had been charged close to $100 by mistake, but thank good, we would be refunded in 3 days. No apologies, no explanation why. We asked to talk to the manager who told us that this was about as big as a mistake as any restaurant could make. But no effort to apologise or whatever. He left us his e-mail: mgrosch@abckitchens.nyc when I asked how he would make us whole - that was that. Really not a great experience.

Very expensive, very loud that you can’t hear anything and the food is not special and to be honest didn’t taste good.. very disappointing..

If you are a visitor in NYC and wanna experience like a local New Yorker, ABC Cocina is the perfect choice. Excellent ambiance, food and friendly service.

It starts with the service, which is exceptional: Kind, knowledgeable, and solicitous without being intrusive. We had the guacamole, a gem Caesar salad, an arepa special, and the chicken tacos, which were all delicious and plenty for two very hungry people. Truly one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. The only caveat is it gets really loud as it fills up, so if you need a quieter place, go around 5 or 5:30.

I’m not sure I’ve ever posted a bad review on here but this experience was just… bad. The first item we ordered (what we wanted for an appetizer) didn’t come out for a full hour into our meal. The dishes were okay but very small, even for tapas portions. We got 4 of the least expensive dishes, a glass of wine and a beer, and the total was $140 which was quite shocking. Despite the attentive waitstaff, it took a very long time for any of our food to come out which was why my rating is so low.

Lights were a little too bright against the side wall to the right but we switched tables and then all was great!
