Restauranteur Shawn Virene put the POP into Houston with his wildly successful a’Bouzy. This champagne-fueled spot located in the tony River Oaks neighborhood of town attracts a stylish crowd all day. The bar is always bustling and the patio echoes with the cry – “a Bouzy!” every time a bottle is sabered tableside. In fact, most tables will have multiple wine buckets close by, keeping the bubbly cool. The fresh, ripe American menu features seasonal seafood, salads, small-shareable plates, large raw bar and prime meats. The wine list curated by Virene, is both the best-priced on bubbly and wines in the city. The interiors have a sophisticated rustic vibe with exposed brick, reclaimed woods and a color palate of creams and blues. The effervescent appeal of bubbles is reflected in a light installation that mimics bubbles floating overhead. Staff was super attentive and made our evening the best night! Impeccable service, reasonable cost for food and drinks, and fantastic flavors in every dish we ordered. I'm definitely going back and recommend it for any occasion!!!

We went for Saturday Brunch around 1:30p .. It was a nice crowd, but we did not have a wait. Our server was very attentive. The free bag of popcorn was a plus for my sister, she loves popcorn :) The drinks were a little overpriced for the size of the drinks (maybe a 3oz pour after you take out the ice but they were good. The food was good but over priced $18 for 2 regular sized tacos. I will go back, the atmosphere was good and the staff was friendly

Great food and excellent service. Extensive menu, which only missing seared foie gras. Portions are nice size and price is fair. Fun place!

We visited on Christmas Eve at lunch and enjoyed a nice meal served by Carlos Sabogal. Carlos was knowledgeable and helpful with selections, with everything from champagne to appetizers and mains. We had a great meal, well worth the drive of 3 1/2 hours from Wimberley.

We arrived for our 11:45 reservation 10 minutes early and were seated. When arriving 3 people came to the hostess stand and didn’t acknowledge me standing there. We were seated on the patio and sat for 22 minutes before we flagged down a waiter. In those 22 minutes people were seated and served drinks. No one acknowledged our presence. When the waiter we stopped sent a waitress to our table she rolled her eyes and acted as if we were bothering her. We immediately put in our order drinks, appetizers and entrees. The appetizer and entrees arrived fast but cold. It was an additional 15 minutes before our juice and tea arrived. We had to ask for silverware and then even ask for napkins. It felt as if we weren’t welcomed and as if our presence was a bother. I was actually wanting to try champagne and caviar but after this experience I won’t be trying again

Hey Gaurav, We're really sorry to hear about your recent experience at a'Bouzy. We understand how frustrating it can be when there are unexpected circumstances. We regret the inconvenience you faced and we apologize for any discomfort caused. We're taking your feedback seriously and we'll make sure to improve our communication with our guests. We were not able to get into our reservations due to not having any power. We do truly apologize and we have noted all the reservations and sent out personal emails after the fact apologizing. I am sincerely apologizing and will treat you and your guest to a glass of Champagne if you can accept it. We wish we hadn't been a victim of Centerpoint constant interruptions.
