Restauranteur Shawn Virene put the POP into Houston with his wildly successful a’Bouzy. This champagne-fueled spot located in the tony River Oaks neighborhood of town attracts a stylish crowd all day. The bar is always bustling and the patio echoes with the cry – “a Bouzy!” every time a bottle is sabered tableside. In fact, most tables will have multiple wine buckets close by, keeping the bubbly cool. The fresh, ripe American menu features seasonal seafood, salads, small-shareable plates, large raw bar and prime meats. The wine list curated by Virene, is both the best-priced on bubbly and wines in the city. The interiors have a sophisticated rustic vibe with exposed brick, reclaimed woods and a color palate of creams and blues. The effervescent appeal of bubbles is reflected in a light installation that mimics bubbles floating overhead. I love a’Bouzy and have brought family and several friends with me. I treated a friend today for her first experience. It was amazing as always. Juan Carlos took great care of us and the manager Marcos ensured we were comfortable and well taken care of also. The food and service never disappoints! Thank you! Felecia

It was a very lovely and we enjoyed the atmosphere! The food was very good ! I had the avocado crab salad. I will go back for sure!

We were promptly seated and given the choice of inside our outside dining. We chose outside and for Houston it was a great weather day. I cannot remember our waiters name but he got right on our drinks orders and was quiet and shy but so sweet. There were 6 of us, ladies night, and we just filled the table with appetizers. We will all be back.

Food and champagne amazing! The streusel cake with the coffee or espresso cream is out of this world! Our server was a little distracted or something. We had to ask and re-ask for normal itemslike forks, napkins, plates….on repeat. When it came time to order our meal she took 1 persons order then just left?! We called her back to the table and she seemed amazed that more of us wanted to order? Everyone can have a bad day at work though right? Plus side we had lunch with a friend that we haven’t seen in a year and hit our cars washed and detailed! I do love A’Bouzy and will be back 🥰

The food was excellent. The service prompt and courteous. We sat on the patio and occasionally experienced road noise with the occasional noisy vehicle but not a distraction.

The staff was amazing! The manager immediately helped us to take items out of the car- presents, a cake, our bag, etc. so kind and helpful. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was comfortable. Overall, we enjoyed our time there and will absolutely go back.

We enjoyed a birthday lunch at A A’Bouzy. We shared an appetizer of salmon and Tuna tartare and we each had a main dish, Salade Niscoise and an egg salad sandwich. And coffeees. The restaurant gave us a complimentary pecan pie dessert. The food was very good as was the service. We will be back.

The food was delicious and flavorful. Enjoyed our serving he was very engaging. It was raining outside but the patio felt so nice and warm. We completely enjoyed ourselves.
