Introducing Bruce, the brilliant mastermind behind
our culinary creations and revered leader, whose
gastronomic expertise knows no limits!
Trained at the illustrious Sushi Tokyo Academy, and further honing his culinary skills under the guidance of Pru Leith at Leith’s Catering, he delved deeper into the vibrant European culinary scene, before catapulting into the world of Michelin-starred restaurants and opulent five-star hotels.
From the prestigious kitchens of The Mandarin Oriental in Hyde Park to iconic settings such as The Dorchester and The Waldorf, Bruce thrived alongside culinary luminaries such as Gordon Ramsay, David Nichols, Anton Mosimann and Eric Vernice.

Bruce held the esteemed position of Director Chef at the Economist Newspaper group. His culinary journey extended to the private realms of prominent individuals worldwide, where he curated gastronomic experiences in opulent villas, luxurious alpine chalets and he graced the sleek teak decks of super yachts.

First visit to the Acorn for Sunday roasts and it was just wow. The food, staff and restaurant was amazing. Bruce came and chatted at our table, he’s knowledge, experience and passion is captivating and it was a real pleasure talking to him about food. Thank you to all the staff at the acorn for a really lovely Sunday afternoon. We loved it so much we rebooked for the next Friday night and can see us visiting often. This restaurant is a must visit if you love quality food.

We really enjoyed our dinner here. The staff were all amazing and the hot seafood platter was delicious.

Fabulous food at Acorn Godalming. Not the cheapest meal but worth the money. The lunchtime main meals are good value for money.

We were six people. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Service was a bit slow to start but it was busy and think it may have been our waitress’ first day. Would go again if ever in the area

Very tasty monkfish and gurnard paella- perfect balance of fish and rice. Served in the cooking pan too- great touch

Lovely bistro type restaurant, although it is small so we were a little cramped. The food is excellent and the wine delicious. The service is good, but perhaps lack the panache which comes with experienced staff.

Very tasty starters including delicious sardines Main meals of liver crispy bacon plus an attractive seafood paella were cooked to perfection All freshly made in house just amazingly mouth watering Very good value for money Even the coffee was served in gorgeous cups

This restaurant is on the pricey side but does a fixed lunchtime main course for £15 per head. So at that price worth a try. OMG...the food was delicious, the service and ambience impeccable. Will definitely return.
