Il locale è troppo buio e molto squallido, però se sei italiano e non ce la fai più a mangiare in fast food è un'alternativa discreta.

We've been fans for years, but our recent lunch experience ranks as one of the worst ever at any dining venue. We were told that the main dining room was too loud for our group of three, and we were placed next to the kitchen, where the clanging of pots and pans and shouts from the chefs and workers made it barely possible to hear one another. The food was even worse. One member of our party ordered the clams and mussels. Half of the mussels were empty shells, and there were only two clams in the bowl, In addition, the dish was served cold, not a hint of warmth. The other two dishes were the grilled salmon, and each piece was drenched in the same cold sauce that was used for the clams and mussels. The server is likely new to the business of waiting tables because she persisted in reaching over the heads of diners to deliver the food rather than placing herself behind the person whose order was being delivered. We can't say that we'll be back soon, which is a shame. As you can see from our reviews, we've been to this place numerous times. We'd recommend avoiding the venue until they figure out how to achieve their former status as a worthy dining room.

Our server Luis was fantastic. Not only was he kind, but also very considerate in many aspects - making sure we don’t miss the last order before kitchen closes, getting us an extra bag for leftover boxes before we ask, and etc. Small things but that make you feel you’re being taken care of. Food was great in taste, as well as in portion that makes the price very reasonable. Very satisfying from starting bread to calamari appetizer, main pasta dish, and tiramisu dessert. The only thing that I wish to be better is coffee - had espresso & americano, and they both were missing a bit of flavor. Still quite decent, but not the best I’d say. I’d love to visit again to try other dishes I wanted to have!!

The food was good, especially the clam chowder. The server was pleasant, engaging but got my entree wrong. The location of the restaurant was discouraging as it was on a dark street where it was the only business open.

We really enjoyed our meal. The food was great, very good service. Enjoyed the "back room", which made you feel as though you were sitting in a street scene in Italy. In addition to the great menu, they had several specials, and special seasonal cocktails. Would definitely go back. Just note, the front doesn't look that inviting, (in addition to the street construction), but when you go to the rear of the restaurant, it is quite charming.

Very charming, attentive restaurant with very good food and attentive staff. Hard to find for first-timers because of construction and modest front, but a real treasure inside. Decor is memorable and charming Eggplant and gnocchi entrees were very good. Nice and quiet when we were there.

We ordered 2 pasta dishes and 1 calamari and 3 different desserts. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals and desserts. I go there every couple of months with 2 others and we will keep going back. My other two guests had not been there before and definitely will return even though they live in Pleasanton. They also served ice cream with a candle for the birthday guest. Audrey

Old restaurant here for many years....not good. Pasta resist was a bowl of not very good tomato sauce. Had to send back olives....so sour couldn't eat. Server was very good. Won't come back.

I had the special pasta of the day which was a paparadelli with all kinds of good flavors. Glass of chianti matched perfectly. Reminded me of the meals we gsd in Tuscany.

The food is always excellent at Acqua E Farina. My son-in-law that was visiting from Denver. He thought it was excellent. Our server was wonderful this I go to place for Italian food used to be Paradiso, but Paradiso changed the ownership. Change the venue and raise the price if somebody gotta pay for the damn place
