   Very disappointing. Will not return. It was the old joke about you place an order and the waiter gave you the meal from his coat! Everything must have been premade. Had to ask a server what the salsa was. Not returning!!! We ate inside and it was loud, but that could be because it was Mother’s Day. My bill for the horrendous meal with 1 margarita and tip was over $100 for 2 people and to add insult to injury valet parking, which was mandatory, was another $15. Never again!

   Lovely experience! We always have a great time at Adobe. However it started off on a really sour note. We were running late, a family of 5 celebrating a birthday and Mother’s Day, and wrangling everyone took time so we were about 25 min late. I sent a message on Open Table but got no response from the restaurant. There was no hostess at the desk to greet us when we walked in. We waited a minute awkwardly and then she finally arrived and asked for my reservation. She then said they gave away our table because we were late and only had indoor seating. The way all this was handled was shocking. She was SO rude and needs new training. As a former hostess and server myself for 15 years I would NEVER hire someone to work like that. She placed menus at a table indoors and walked away without even saying anything. It made me so upset I went back and told the manager and we were immediately seated indoors. Train your hostesses!! A smile, customer service, these things are critical. It almost ruined my boyfriend’s birthday.

   Decent food & service with high prices. The chicken fajitas and chicken quesadillas were tasty, as were the included chips & salsa. Wine selection is limited, but I was happy the bottle of white that I ordered was well chilled. Adobe Grill was an appropriate place to dine on Cinco de Mayo, but not memorable.

   We dined last night for Cinco de Mayo and have never felt more rushed dining than last night. Our drinks came and our appetizer came about 1 min after our drinks. We had taken only a few bites of our appetizer and then our entrees came. We didn’t want to send them back and then they get cold so we accepted the entrees. We were then just taking a small break from getting all our food at once they started clearing our plates while we were still eating. We mentioned we were still enjoying our meal. A few minutes later another gentleman came by to also clear our plates. We finally mentioned to our server we were feeling rushed and to let us be for a bit. You get the idea. Very frustrating experience… food was great though.

   We had a very mediocre experience last night. It’s a very beautiful setting and we had high expectations for a special night with friends. The service was fine. Attentive and pleasant. However we were seated in front of the band, and it made difficult to have conversation, even though the band was good. The drinks and food were not good at all. We ordered Cadillac margaritas and they were weak and watery. Then the food came and it was pretty bland for a Mexican restaurant. Really not anything to rave about. The bill was pricey. Only two of us had entrees and the other two people had a simple aka carte item. With 6 cocktails the total was $240 before tip. Meh

   Adobe Grill offers delicious food, the mole is a particular specialty. You can enjoy the indoor area- especially nice in summer months, or the gorgeous outdoor setting. Most of the wait staff are friendly and attentive. On our recent visit, we took two couples out to enjoy the beautiful atmosphere, delicious food, and mountain views. We asked for an outdoor table and got a comfortable 6 top and were seated just before sundown. The service was lovely until our waitress appeared. She was not particularly friendly or attentive. We ordered the guacamole which was a fresh and flavorful beginning. The fajitas, mole enchilada, and enchiladas verdes were amazing. Unfortunately, we were seated very close to the live music that night, and it was unbearably loud. The volume of the music would’ve been lovely for dancing, but not for dinner and conversation.  the service is usually quite attentive and friendly. If you want to enjoy the outside, there are a lot of tables where you can enjoy the music from a distance and still enjoy your dinner guests. Not our best visit but we will be back.

    The Adobe is the place to dine at after a day at the pool or golf. The Mexican cuisine is really good and the drinks are refreshing. Service fantastic!
