The Iveagh Garden Hotel welcomes guests to enjoy our delicious traditional Afternoon Tea . You will be greeted with an assortment of scones and sandwiches followed by our selection of dainty desserts. The food was good. The overall experience wasn’t the best one. We waited 25 minutes to be served after the glass of champagne. The jam served on their afternoon tea is very liquid and they didn’t serve it with a spoon, which was very hard to use. Afternoon tea everywhere else is served with butter hot scones, etc. We have been informed that they don't do that. I had a guest who was for afternoon tea for the first time and they didn't present tea, no recommendation or anything like that. We requested hot chocolate and we couldn't have it for the second time because they were out of chocolate powder. I believe they should have been prepared for that since it is very basic. No waiters around to check on us if was everything okay, if anybody wanted something else or anything thing like that (very basic customer service). They don't give any extra sandwiches as every else does. You can only repeat the drinks, but once you request a hot chocolate, they don't have it. I believe that for 50€ per person, there are better places around Dublin, or at least better customer service.

Tea had started to get cold again food came out. I had requested no salmon because of a fish allergy and yet it was still served we had to send all the food back and wait a further 20mins which then lead to pots of tea going cold.

I was very sad that this tea was disappointing. The server just wasn’t very trained in high tea. Good tea is a big part of the experience in the tea was not very good and very watered down. Some of the food was good, but there was a lot of sandwiches and very tiny, delicious scone and for some reason the ratios were off.

Such a lovely afternoon, highly recommend it! Our food was delicious and our servers were so nice and completely accommodating. What a beautiful place too, loved it!

The location is central. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was lovely. I would definitely recommend a visit. Shout out to the bat manager for being so accommodating and friendly.
