Albert's Standish is a stunning restaurant and bar which also has a private dining room and 2 private event spaces. The restaurant space can accommodate dining for 200 guests and a fabulous covered and heated outside dining terrace perfect for alfresco dining.

The venue has ample car parking and provides a picturesque environment for dining. The menu includes traditional British favourites like home-made Lancashire Cheese and Onion Pie as well as cuisine inspired by the family’s travels around the world.

The restaurant is open Tuesday - Sunday for lunch and dinner, Saturdays and Sundays are also open for breakfast.

    We don’t like to leave bad reviews, particularly when we have always had lovely food at this venue. Again, the food was very good. Our server was great. However, I was mildly embarrassed when we arrived, only to be told they couldn’t find our booking. This was despite my booking online; confirming the day before, after being sent a text, and arriving on time. A male wearing a checked shirt saw my booking confirmation on my mobile and deferred to another employee who again asked to see my confirmation. This, in my opinion, was unnecessary, as the male had told the blonde female that I had shown the booking confirmation. By now, a queue was forming, and we were the cause of the holdup. People appeared to be aware that we were asking to be seated. We were with our elderly parents who were quite upset about our treatment. This was a family celebration that was thwarted by the actions of some staff who dealt with the situation in an appalling manner. Repeated apologies did not quite cut it! We still paid the voluntary service charge because the servers were excellent. This experience has slightly marred the reputation of Albert’s. Although we hope that future bookings are more professionally managed.

    Lovely birthday meal with family and also catered for my dietary requirements as I am gluten & diary intolerant.

    Food was good service was efficient but the overall experience was everything was being rushed to get the table free for the next booking. Maybe booking thr last available time would be better

    We booked lunch for 2 at 12.30pm on a Thursday and chose dishes from the 2 course menu priced at £14.95. Excellent range of options, attentive and friendly service, and great value for money. Will definitely come back!

    The only negative in my opinion is when you get the bill a service charge of 10 % is added ,it should be left to the customer to tip, not Alberts in the past I have tipped more than 10 % and less. This time I gave the tip direct to the waitress as I do all the time.
