Albert's Standish is a stunning restaurant and bar which also has a private dining room and 2 private event spaces. The restaurant space can accommodate dining for 200 guests and a fabulous covered and heated outside dining terrace perfect for alfresco dining.

The venue has ample car parking and provides a picturesque environment for dining. The menu includes traditional British favourites like home-made Lancashire Cheese and Onion Pie as well as cuisine inspired by the family’s travels around the world.

The restaurant is open Tuesday - Sunday for lunch and dinner, Saturdays and Sundays are also open for breakfast.

    Alberts Standish offers three unique spaces for all types of events from weddings, corporate dinners and presentations to private parties. The spaces accommodate anything between 20 and 250 guests. We offer a wide range of menus specially created by our chefs and inspired by the seasons using only the finest of ingredients. Flooded by natural daylight, all our spaces and the rooms are versatile and as equally suited to private parties and celebrations as they are to networking events, lunches and dinners. We offer a full event planning service and every event is tailor made for you. We can arrange all aspects for your event and provide all the finishing touches to make your event perfect.

    Lovely meal how eve we felt we were on a main route to the kitchen people coming past all the time therefore not as enjoyable as previously

    3 family birthdays celebrated tonight, although busy service was excellent and food hot and tasty. Booked in for Tues for 2 further birthdays looking forward to it

    We don’t like to leave bad reviews, particularly when we have always had lovely food at this venue. Again, the food was very good. Our server was great. However, I was mildly embarrassed when we arrived, only to be told they couldn’t find our booking. This was despite my booking online; confirming the day before, after being sent a text, and arriving on time. A male wearing a checked shirt saw my booking confirmation on my mobile and deferred to another employee who again asked to see my confirmation. This, in my opinion, was unnecessary, as the male had told the blonde female that I had shown the booking confirmation. By now, a queue was forming, and we were the cause of the holdup. People appeared to be aware that we were asking to be seated. We were with our elderly parents who were quite upset about our treatment. This was a family celebration that was thwarted by the actions of some staff who dealt with the situation in an appalling manner. Repeated apologies did not quite cut it! We still paid the voluntary service charge because the servers were excellent. This experience has slightly marred the reputation of Albert’s. Although we hope that future bookings are more professionally managed.

    Went for a lunchtime birthday treat 9 people 3 children The staff were friendly especially one of the more mature gentleman who was letting the children ring the bell The food was lovely and service was quick and efficient I have recommended Albert’s on Wigan Food Reviews and can’t wait to go there again
