   Allen’s is always a satisfying and enjoyable place to meet up with friends! As a vegetarian, the options are somewhat limited but they are always happy to substitute or modify to accommodate me.

   My supper mates enjoyed their burgers. Fish and chips very sub par. Maybe the cooking oil wasn't fresh? And to be honest, very mediocre fries. I make better from scratch.

   Absolute gem of Toronto’s East End. Lively, relaxed and always a great crowd Friday Night. Servers, particularly Michelle, make you feel right at home. Food is always top notch, large portions sizes, and reasonably priced. Some of the best meals around $25 I’ve had in the city. Simply, this is one of the best places to bring someone special, family, or friends. Feels like home, while also being elevated … simple and casually elegant.

   Allens is as reliable a restaurant destination as you can get. Food is always top quality, reasonable prices, polite and professional staff. The ambiance is comfortable and predictable. Quality hospitality.

   The service is always exceptional, and it's a fun atmosphere if you come at around 7:30/8. It empties out pretty quickly after about 9:30pm, but it is bustling until then. Yummy, hearty food and always a good martini.

   Go there once a month for lunch with my 93 year old friend. Been going to Allen's since 1988. It has delivered consistently delicious food, ambience and fun!!!!

   By far, Toronto’s best burgers. There’s hardly a second choice. Other items in the menu are quite good. Great portion of tasty excellent thick fries And the service is always superb Indoors it could be a little bit noisy sometimes. Summer patio is a great alternative when possible.     Been to their lovely outdoor patio many times. Will return. Tonight, INdoors due to it being March. Two important points: 1. The noise level indoors is incredibly high. So very difficult to hear each other. Sound- proofing consultation with a reputable company will take this resto further 2. Ordered curried shrimp with rice and naan. So very hot ( spicy ). There should be an icon on the menu indicating hotness. At best, ask the server , which I forgot to do. 3. Just a minor point , I guess, but the table was not fully set when we arrived. Had to ask for cutlery and napkins.
