Allen's is reminiscent of a New York City saloon from ages past. The tin ceiling, the wood floors and the cozy old bar make it an experience in itself. Yet Allen's also has a fabulous menu that is sure to inspire and delight.

With more than 300 kinds of whisky, more than 100 wines and over 140 beers, it will satisfy your need for liquid refreshment. The food is pub fare improved thanks to the reliance on organic and locally raised meats and careful preparation. Burgers, salads, soups and so much more await those who pay a visit to Allen's.

    Always enjoy Allen's - in all aspects. The open turkey sandwich today at lunch (post US Thanksgiving) was fab. Anthony is the best Maitre d'! But the front door opening and closing made the booths in the front chilly. Will be back as usual.

    We had a great experience and loved the ambience of this restaurant as well as the food. The service was efficient but our waiter not welcoming/friendly. He did his job well but almost robotic. It is nice to have some sort of exchange with the waiter other than placing an order. We would definitely come back. The bathrooms could use a refresher as could the floor on the landing at the bottom of the stairs that almost tripped me up.

    A Danforth classic that never disappoints, with a cozy atmosphere, good old-fashioned service, and some creative (nicely so) takes on good pub classics.

    Allen's is great lunch. I had a delicious omelette and my friend had the curry, which he said was wonderful. Would certainly come again.

    Allen's is such a consistently great restaurant. The food is always terrific and the staff are the best in the city!

    The meal was rushed by the server from our time of arrival. Difficult to have a good conversation given the noise level.

    Allen’s is an institution for good reason, and the place was packed when we visited on a blustery November Friday night. The menu is full of classics and has something for every diner.
