Alobar Downtown is nestled in the heart of Toronto's bustling Financial District. Alobar Downtown offers revelry in the bar and lounge and warmth in the dining room, both featuring menus from Michelin-starred chef Patrick Kriss. World class wines are displayed as a centrepiece to pair with choice seafood, grilled fish and prime chops. All served with genuine hospitality.

Join us for happy hour on weekdays from 2:30pm to 5:30pm in our bar, lounge, and heated patio.

Alobar Downtown's menu is inspired by the classic steakhouse, expanding upon the offerings at our sister location, Michelin Recommended Alobar Yorkville.

For groups of 11+, please book our Group Dining, Family Style Experience or contact us at info@alobardowntown.com.

For groups larger than 8 guests, we are unable to provide individualized bills, however we are able to process as many payments as required.

    Alobar was perfect for what we were celebrating. It was quiet enough that we could hear each other talk. The food was incredible. The service was excellent. Looking forward to coming back again soon.

    The food and customer service is always exceptional whenever I dine at Alobar downtown. A great location business lunches and to celebrate special occasions.

    The servers were very attentive and accommodating. We asked to have our food order rushed as we were in a hurry and it was at our table within 10 minutes of ordering. Very delicious food and very nice vibe.

    We were a party of 3 - our cocktails did not all arrive at the same time. We did receive a complimentary bread order for the delay but also had an appetizer mixup as well. The restaurant is loud ( hard to hear each other talk ) but some people may not mind this. The Ceasar salad was good - (the beet salad too much vinaigrette ). Wines were over priced and not a great ‘by the glass’ selection. Overall the experience was OK but not what we expected.

    The service was pretty standard, the gentleman at the host stand was extremely energetic and sweet, my server was ok, she got a little snappy when I mistakenly placed my order with another server who I confused for her. Regardless the food was not great. The Nova Scotia Lobster appetizer was more than a disappointment with barely any lobster at all, all you could taste was the sauce which there seemed to be more of than the lobster. The Confit Duck Cavatelli was extremely salty. The $90 10oz filet Mignon was super disappointing. The meat was not great, didn't seem to be of quality, and a small side of something on the plate would've at least made up for what it was lacking, which there was not. I have had better at other restaurants with similar menus. The portions once again were laughable. I would not go back nor recommend Alobar downtown. The only reason I gave it 2 stars was because the host was very kind, the restaurant itself was cute and had a good environment.
