Toast to the perfect day at Alpine, after a day of exhilarating outdoor activities in the Jackson, New Hampshire, area or a quiet day spent relaxing or shopping. Our modern-day tavern offers handcrafted cocktails featuring fresh, seasonal ingredients, as well as elevated cuisine and the largest selection of specialty bourbons and whiskeys in the Mount Washington Valley.                   We had reservations at Alpine and waited 15 minutes. Other parties without reservations seemed to be seated before us. When seated it took 15 minutes to get our cocktail. My wife has celiac and we both ordered the burger without a roll. The burgers finally arrived and the were both on a roll. We had to return hers due her allergy. Both burgers were overcooked as we ordered them medium rare and showed up well done. Very disappointing.

                  Our experience was a bit disappointing! We were told that they do not take reservations and we didn’t have a table. Why would they not know that they are on Open Table! We finally got a table. The service was good we had a nice young man wait on us and that night they had a pizza special that was also very good. I think they should inform their worker that they are on Open Table.

                  There are two places to eat at this hotel. The Alpine Tavern is very loosely described as a restaurant. Web site describes itself as an American Traditional. Web site shows a menu. The actual is different. A burger and then just picking type foods. We ended up just getting wedge salads. You could add salmon or chicken to the salad. We ordered them. Then 10 minutes later the waiter comes back and says “we are out of chicken “!!! Saturday at 6 PM and no chicken. He never offered to substitute with salmon or anything else. This should not be listed as a restaurant on open table.

                  One of the best burgers I've ever had, nice to see a 10oz burger. Great acoustic live music.

                  This was our first time here. The bartender was the only person serving. They seemed to be lacking in help. I certainly wouldn’t rush back nor would I recommend it. Such a shame for a cute hotel.

                  We enjoyed the food and service, however when we arrived there was a corporate retreat group using the tavern for a scheduled happy hour, so it was pretty chaotic. Even though we had made a reservation there was no one to check in with so we asked the concierge for help and he found us a table and made sure the bartender waited on us. I don't understand why the tavern wasn't closed for the private group. I would have gladly come after they had moved into the dining room for dinner. Once the group had moved on, it was a more relaxed environment, although I do give the bartenders props for remaining attentive to us despite the corporate group.
