   My husband and I had such a wonderful dining experience at Amal. We had the Platter for 2. It was delicious and very filling. The meat skewers were perfectly cooked- full of flavour and moist. Service was courteous and quick. Beautiful restaurant. We will definitely be back .

   This was my second time at Amal but my first time doing lunch and going for a birthday. (My little sister just turned 30.) I showed up on time but she, as usual, was running late. I was seated, had my coat and bag taken, and the server grabbed me water while I waited. My sister arrived about 15 mins after I did and we were promptly seen again, at which point we ordered some wine and the three dips to share ($29). A gentleman who I *think* is the manager stopped by and offered a small stool for my sister to put her two bags on. So thoughtful! The dips were amazing and we ordered more bread so they weren’t wasted, then we were on to the mains! We ordered the skewers. I did the pistachio lamb/beef skewer and my sister got the veal tenderloin. My plate had two skewers we shared and got to try both. At this point, I was starting to struggle (on account of the dip and pita extravaganza), and our waiter offered to pack up my leftover hummus (!) that I hadn’t been able to touch. This was such a thoughtful gesture as I hated the idea of wasting it but thought it might be silly to ask to take it home with me. Our visit ended with a lovely dessert surprise for my sister! We were given a spongey cake with butterscotch sauce and vanilla icecream. It. Was. Divine. The “Happy birthday” message and candle were extra thoughtful. I was very impressed. Second time at Amal and I will definitely be back! Thank you to all who made our lunch so wonderful. My sister had a great time :)

    We absolutely loved the food. Love that it is a Halal establishment, and the servers very very professional and ensured we had a good time.
