Amali's ethos is inspired by the Mediterranean way of life, emphasizing vegetables, olive oil, cheese, grains, and fish. Our menu reflects the historical cuisines shared by modern day Greece, Italy, France, and Spain. Our wine list offers approximately 400 selections and has been called "daring" by The New York Times and "one of the best Mediterranean selections in Midtown" by New York Magazine.

    Ring in the New Year in Style at Amali. Please note that Amali's seasonal New Years Eve Prix Fixe menu will be the exclusive offering for the evening and is priced at $125pp for reservations between 5:00 - 7:45 and $135 for reservations between 8:00 - 11:00pm (the second seating includes a welcome glass of bubbles). Please visit our website to view this New Years Eve Prix Fixe menu. A kids menu is available upon request and limited a la carte items are available from Amali's bar.

    Quieter dining experience (which is hard to find in NY). Menu is seafood centric with Mediterrean influence. Service was good, overall entree prep and presentation was average. Price was appropriate. The restaurant adds an 18% automatic "admin fee" that also serves as a tip. You can add more if desired for service.

    Food was wonderful -- especially the feta with jalapenos and honey appetizer. The sesame bread came hot and was delicious. All of the pasta dishes are great. But our service was awful and we were very neglected. We were in the against the wall and couldn't even get our server to bring our water. Everyone around us seemed to be served pretty quickly but it took us several times to try to flag down our server.

    We tried Amali for pre-theater before a show at 59E59. It is perfect for that. Service was friendly and fast. We started with roast squash and little gem salad, both of which were good. Then grilled dorade and grilled salmon. The salmon was outstanding and the dorade also very good. Roast broccoli side dish was perfectly cooked. For wine we had a glass of tempranillo which was fairly priced and delicious. Amali adds 18% to the bill as a service charge, which is OK but should be explicitly called to the diner's attention, since the credit card slip then has a space to leave a tip. We supplemented the 18% fee with a small add-on, but many people may not realize this and inadvertently leave a double tip.

    This is such a good spot! Thoroughly obsessed with the Italian, Greek and other Mediterranean infusions into menu. Some classics with a unique spin. Can’t wait to be back, and one of the best espresso martinis of all time.

    I was so happy with the food and service. I have food allergies and they were so attentive and accommodating. It is such a lovely restaurant and the food was absolutely delicious! I will definitely be back.

    We enjoyed Amali’s Sunday brunch menu, especially the Spicy Feta and the Gem Salad. I wouldn’t personally recommend the Cavatelli Cacio e Pepe (too heavy for my taste). The service was highly professional.

    Unconscionable to add an 18% admin fee in small print on the bill. This should be up front & stipulated on the menu. Will not return. Abhor very sneaky fees. Too many other good restaurants in NYC
