In keeping with the spirit of Lady Amber Fitzwilliam, whose famous Thursday Club ran for many years at the hotel, we offer relaxed entertainment in the luxurious setting of Amber’s restaurant every Thursday night. Sample delicious food and an elegant drinks menu to a backdrop of live acoustic music from a handful of carefully chosen local artists. £30 per head for 2 courses or upgrade to 3 course for an additional £7.50 per head. Friends of Amber's are welcome to use their 20% discount. Live music between 6.30pm and 7.15pm & 7.45pm and 8.30pm

Anniversary meal, Food and service were excellent. A great atmosphere and a nice little complimentary anniversary treat at the end of our meal. Our 2nd visit and highly recommended.

Lovely atmosphere not too noisy. We had the roast beef which was good but needed to cut off the fatty bits. The parsnip wasn't cooked, which was disappointing. The cauliflower cheese was excellent though. Generous portions and the yorkshire pudding was decent. Overall it was a good dinner and would go again.

The service was particularly slow from the FOH team. 25 minutes waiting for a glass of wine and fizz. The starters were average, but we did enjoy the main course. Automatic service charge of 10% for 2 people was a little disappointing.

Great food. Lovely staff. We ate here two nights. The first night the service was really efficient. The second night was slower as there were more people.

The food was excellent and the service was very friendly and helpful. However, it was Saturday evening and the restaurant was only about a quarter full, which was very disappointing.

A wonderful, clean space for dining and relaxing. Sunday choices were excellent, covering all the bases. Wine was excellent, Sancerre. The staff were polite and very friendly. The service was excellent, no long waits, no rush to eat. Recommended. Will return
