Each of the dishes we ordered had been beautifully plated and the taste matched the view. I was pleasantly surprised at how quick our food was given to us and the amount of attention our server provided. Overall I will definitely come back to dine here again

We have been back and forth between Detroit and Houston several times over the past year and have had lots of great meals but this was by far one of the best. Our time here moving forward will be less and less but I will make it a priority to eat at Amore every time we are in town.

My husband and I go to this establishment a few times a year because we really enjoy the food in this restaurant and the ambiance every single time. I was a little disappointed from last night service granted it was a busy Friday night. We had to wait 20 minutes for a wine menu. We were seated at a little table by the pizza stove and the waiters kept dumping utensils loudly behind us non stop. We weren’t asked our food orders for a good 30 minutes and we received our food almost an hour later. I noticed that our portions were much much smaller. Four little pieces of the 15 dollar fried oysters……. It was good but portions were so tiny. I had the Harry’s Bar pasta as always and it had like three little pieces of lobster on it. We weren’t asked for wine refills till the end. And we waited for another 20 minutes for our waiter to come back to take a dessert order which I decided not to do and go to an ice cream place instead. I noticed that the prices went up drastically which I understand with inflation however I notice that they are making the dishes less and less portions. Our waiter was not around to check on us regularly which is why we didn’t tip as high. $139 for two pastas, two wines and one measly oyster side is with really long service is not worth it. It’s making me reconsider ever coming back.

Amore is usually sparsely populated at lunch time, but the service has always been very good. Not so this time. There was only one waiter so service was slow. The food was good as usual but it took a long time between plates. That was unfortunate because one person in our group had a meeting scheduled and came close to having to leave early.
