   This was a return visit for us, on the occasion of our 42nd anniversary. Our positive memory of a prior visit was more than reaffirmed: Apolline is a delightful, upscale but unpretentious restaurant. My wife and i both had the Verlasso salmon, which was quite wonderful (google Verlasso salmon if you aren't familiar with it; it is truly delicious). Complimentary prosecco to start our meal and rich creme brulee to conclude it, accompanied by some fine wines along the way, made for a perfect dinner. What added to our pleasure was the gracious and warm-hearted service we received from our waiter, Ned. Ned knows his food, and he clearly takes pleasure in assuring the total satisfaction of his diners.

   We love Apolline. Last year we had a couple of bad nights with unacceptably slow service. Tonight and last week that has totally reversed. Food was fantastic and service over the top. We live out of Nola but will definitely return. Those with bad experiences last year MUST give them another chance!!

   I went to Apolline to celebrate my birthday and I had an amazing time. One of the chefs, Chad, went the extra mile to make my birthday extraordinary and I couldn’t be more appreciative. The food was amazing and I can’t wait to go back.

   All drinks come from the bar, even non-alcoholic, causing a long wait for beverages. The coke is a “cola” with little taste and carbonation. Food was delicious, but make sure you’ve got the time to spend as our food took about an hour from order to table.

   Food was good. Waiter was good but had too many tables to care for. And my biggest complaint was it was so loud I couldn't hear the person next to me. I was a little perturbed that they added a 4% charge automatically to the kitchen staff. I won't be going again.

   Arrived for a reservation at 12:15 food did not get to our table until 1:20. That’s right an hour and five minutes. they are either woefully understaffed or their kitchen is too small or poorly managed. If you don’t have the capacity to serve patrons in a reasonable amount of time, have less tables or more staff or a bigger kitchen. Our waiter was very nice, but nothing really makes up for over an hour wait after ordering brunch.

   Was told in response to waiting 50 minutes for food that “brunch is our busiest hour and the table behind you got their food first because they were in a hurry to the airport” mind you we left after said table. Waitress was no where to be found for 20 minutes at a time. Food when it finally came out was lukewarm and burger so overdone it was not edible. 50% off our bill. I wouldn’t pay for anything but the alcohol. We have been many times as locals and this felt like no staff and a free for all. It will be a while before we return.

    Apolline is that neighborhood gem that makes you happy you live in the neighborhood! The drinks are great, with an excellent wine list and interesting cocktails. The food is wonderful, with innovative specials and a salmon entree that keeps me coming back. The service is also very good, with the team working together nicely to provide seamless, attentive service.
