   Beautiful setting, relaxed atmosphere, and quality food. Presentation of food is creative, and the taste is superb. The staff are highly trained, and can explain the ingredients of the food presented. Also, the staff are well informed of the wine that is served throughout the meal. A lovely place for that special occasion.

   The only choice is the four course ‘degustation’ for $175. The servings were tiny and two of the dishes were sub-par. Who expects a tiny scoop of porcini mushroom ice cream as a dessert?! We came home hungry and had to eat a grilled cheese sandwich after spending $175 for tiny portions.

   On arrival and being seated and served water we waited 15 minutes before being offered a drink and explanation of the menu. Whilst the food was tasty the meat dish (lamb) was under cooked not medium but raw. Would have expected more than what was served Overall the experience was average.

   We dined at Appellation several years ago and had an unforgettable experience. Unfortunately our recent visit disappointed. The 4 course degustation was tasty but the portions were meagre and we left feeling hungry. The wines were nicely paired however when the dessert wine was not the one written on the menu we were told there was ‘a typo’ on the menu. Not the service or food I’d expect from a place of this calibre. For the price of $500 for a couple you could do much better for half that elsewhere.

   I’ve been to quite a few fine dining places, so comparing to where I’ve been to, this place is not very impressive. The place itself is very well renovated, and the view is pretty good but not really special comparing to the Penford Magill Estate and Mount Loft Estate. The service is amazing, which is the only highlight of the experience. However, the food is not worth the money to be honest, especially the second course, Gaeng Som, I can’t believe they just served me a small bowl of noodle in the so called lobster stock based soup with some green leaves that you can add in by yourself, nothing else! I’m sorry but if this dish is meant to be exotic, to somebody with Asian background like me, it’s too plain, not even qualified as street food in an Asian country. The food even can’t compete with Skillogelee wines or Paulett Wines in Claire Vally, which are of much better quality in terms of food, and you can enjoy similar valley view and pretty good service too.

   Lovely setting and unique flavours. Wagyu beef was a highlight. Would recommend to others for that special celebration.

   The food was good, duck a bit chewy. Desert very interesting. Wine pairing good, maxine & me - shiraz & cabernet very, very good. French waitress Julie very good

   Two out of 7 dishes were exquisite but the others were strange and i did not enjoy them. Did not think it was worth the $$ to be honest. The view, service and vibe was amazing but the food lacking.
