Aqua Mare Cucina Italiana by Villa Capri in Del Mar offers a menu inspired by responsibly sourced local food. It's a place to enjoy fresh, delicious plates and relax watching our beautiful view of the lagoon and the ocean. In addition to fresh fish and seafood, Aqua Mare Cucina Italiana in Del Mar serves fresh homemade pasta, risotto, chicken, steak and vegetarian options. It is open for dinner Monday through Sunday from 4pm to 9pm, and for lunch Sunday from 12:00pm to 3:00pm. Aqua Mare Cucina Italiana in Del Mar also has a large bar area with HD TVs, a Private Room and Private Patios that can be booked for banquets and private events

We found this restaurant as a wonderful surprise! We had been at the previous restaurant at this location several years ago and were delighted to visit this one. The service was great. The food was delightful. They had great choices on the menu and we paired a perfect wine for it. The dessert was delicious and we enjoyed our time there immensely. Thank you so much!

We loved the old restaurant Via Capri. Tried the new one for the first time. We caught them on a very bad night. They were obviously having staffing issues. We were seated quickly. The table was nice. The service was a little slow initially but not terrible. It took a bit of time before our order was taken. They served our bread and salads a reasonable time after that. At this point it got bad. We didn't have any contact for about 20 minutes when our waiter refilled our drinks. After about a half an hour I wanted to just get up and leave. My wife is much nicer than I am and we decided to wait it out. One hour and thirty minutes after we were seated our dinner arrived at the table. My wife got the risotto and it was acceptable. I had ordered lasagna. When I cut into the lasagna I couldn't believe it. There was nothing but the noodles. No cheese, no sauce and no meat. It was obviously not prepared by a chef or a cook. Someone who had no knowledge of lasagnr what so ever had just laid a stack of noodles in a pan. They but a stack of pasta on a plate and poured some sauce over the top. I was going to send it back but the server wasn't present. I was so hungry at this point that I just ate some of it. After my wife finished her dinner we waited quite a while for our bill. Our waiter was embarrassed by the situation. We were offered a free dessert. When I told her about the lasagna she removed it from the bill. Honestly I should have just gotten up and walked out when it became apparent that they were in such disarray. I'm surprised that the manager didn't come to our table to apologize. I'm sure this was just a bad night for them. I've had many years of good experiences at Via Capri. I doubt that I'll ever go back to Aqua Mare.

The staff was a very happy crew and that is contagious. We had a great time. The artichoke appetizer smothered in fresh fresh garlic was the best ever!
