Atchafalaya is a true New Orleans neighborhood eatery where the eclectic yet elegant atmosphere is only outshone by the attentive service and delicious local fare. Nestled under the oaks on the edges of the Irish Channel, Magazine Street, and historic Garden districts, this hidden gem is one the best contemporary Creole dining experiences that one can find in the city.                                         Oh my goodness! Our 4th time there and the best of them all. Char grilled oysters were huge and fresh. A whale sized soft shell crab done perfectly and the chocolate dessert was over the top. Reasonably priced drinks and wines and I could not possibly be happier.

                                        Atchafalaya was exquisite. The ambience is warm and eclectic. The staff is superb! We were celebrating our anniversary and they thoughtfully decorated our table with star glitter, a handwritten card and provided us with complementary champagne. Dinner was exceptional. As everyone says, you must order the shrimp and grits! Can’t wait to return on our next visit to NOLA.
