Augie's French, a Stark Reality Restaurant by Mark & Terri Stark, offers elevated service in a comforting and enchanting atmosphere in the heart of downtown Santa Rosa. Recognized as a "Top French Restaurant" in the Bay Area by the San Francisco Chronicle and featured in Sonoma Magazine's "Best Restaurants" in Sonoma County, our menu embodies French Bistro classics. Enjoy Onion Soup Gratinée, Steak Frites, seasonal local vegetables with a French flair, and a classic Beef Bourguignon known to evoke tears of delight.
Our wine list is comprised of exclusively French selections, and the bar specializes in classic French aperitif cocktails. Happy Hour and a limited bar menu are offered daily from 3-5 pm, featuring items you won’t find on the dinner menu.

Absolutely fabulous meal! Excellent service. The perfect French menu featuring favorites that rival, and even beat, some of the best bistros in Paris. Lovely ambiance. The restaurant design is beautiful. The upstairs is better for more intimate dining. Augie’s would be my “go to” restaurant if I lived locally.

Our favorite Santa Rosa dining experience. Don’t mind spending the money when there can be no doubt. The Onion soup rivals the Perigord Cafe in Paris … the best I know! Quality of food is excellent and consistent. Great service. Can be noisy on a big night; but just focus on the food.

There's a reason so many diners praise this new Stark Family restaurant. Like so many others, we found our evening out to be quite wonderful. Our wait staff Sam (Samantha) was simply a delight, answering questions, offering advise and simply being friendly, kind and attentive. The dishes we picked were outstanding. From the Ahi Tuna Tartare and Chilled Oysters for an appetizer, to the Poulet Frites and Duck Confit, the sauces and quality of our entree's was exceptional. (And I'd never had duck!) We had a fine chat with the house manager Jill over the local Land and Water Coffee offering to accompany dessert, and it was a pleasure to know they source VERY locally for their coffee needs. We'll be back. A memorable and pleasant evening that warrants being a go-to location.

We booked after getting a recommendation from a chef, but afterwards kept running into folk who had been and loved it. We can see why. EVERYTHING was great. Amazing decor. Super helpful staff. Fantabulous food. Even the restrooms were gorgeous. Try the escargot, you won’t be disappointed. Really wished we lived locally, but will be back on our next trip to Santa Rosa for sure.

I was expecting more from Augie's given the excellence and repeat business other Stark restaurants get from me. Maybe just an off night... or I hope.

Our second visit to Augie's, and just as great as we remember! Our waiter, Ben, was on top of everything, and provided outstanding service. We enjoyed oysters, duck terrine, rabbit rillette, frogs legs (highly recommended!) Caviar in black truffle. With the apps we hardly had room for dinner! Restaurant was busy not crowded, with plenty of staff on hand. Highly recommended!!
