Balboa Surf Club is an upscale American restaurant in the heart of Uptown, Houston, located in Post Oak Plaza. The menu places an emphasis on fresh seafood from around the country, including a curated sushi program, as well as salads, hearty sandwiches, a standout hamburger, and hand-cut steaks.
Beverage selections include classic house cocktails, and an extensive yet approachable wine list.
The dining room is made up of lush plants, intimate booths as well as a full service bar and lush patio.
Balboa is open 7 days a week for both lunch and dinner.

                                                                                        Food was great, but the service wasn’t. It was definitely crowded but we were having to ask multiple times for small requests like soy sauce. Server rarely checked in on us and when he did was moving so fast he was trying to get to the next thing before we could finish putting in the whole order. Crab cake is really really good, the servers need more help. Was celebrating a birthday too… included it in my reservation info, and had zero mention or recognition from the staff the whole way through.

                                                                                        Second time I’ve been here and the service was awful. It took about 25 minutes for someone to even acknowledge us. We saw our waiter a grand total of two times throughout our dinner. The food itself was great but took quite a while to arrive.

                                                                                        The place had plenty of parking and the staff were very friendly. Our server was Aryana and she was AMAZING, she was a total vibe and incredible! The food was amazing and all the recs given were great!

                                                                                        Had a wonderful time with my family! Food and service were both delightful. The decor is well appointed. And although the weather was not permissable for outdoor seating, i can't wait to return to try the patio.

                                                                                        I love this place, their sushi/sashimi is better than most dedicated sushi places! Everything is incredible, especially the sashimi salad!!

                                                                                        Fries were forgotten, sauce for fries was like sample taster size and not a real serving. Salad was wonderful but over-dressed.
