                                    This place is consistently superb, especially for the price. We come here about twice/month. Last month we ate at some of our favorite spots in Santa Fe. Balcon measures up to any of them. I love the elote asado (street corn) and the enmolada, with house-made corn tortillas. I pick other items on other days, but these are my favorites. Best margaritas in the area.

                                    Food was well cooked but I was surprised to have not been asked about how I wanted the steak cooked for steak and eggs. The server was pleasant but not well trained - asked me if I wanted dessert before I was anywhere near done with my meal.

                                    Excellent all around. Ambiance, service, food and drinks. So much fun. When the weather is great the open balcony is awesome.

                                    Good food, drinks and server...will definitely come back! NB: They didn't have my Open Table reservation (on the one night I forgot my phone), but fortunately a table was available. If you need a reservation, I'd call just to be on the safe side.

                                    Six of us went during happy hour. The food was excellent as were the drinks. Will definitely return.

                                    Balcon has a lovely location atop a new building on the south side of San Marcos. We had a reservation, and was promptly seated. Food was delicious, and cocktails were delicious. Our server was attentive to allow our conversation to happen. We were upset that our table was set that we were fighting the setting sun for the 2 hours we were there, despite reservations 3 weeks in advance. The ambience made a reunion with conversation difficult, but if the doors had been open to the air and the balcony open (102 degrees outside) it would have been better. I would return again.

                                    This is a very nice upscale restaurant. Not your typical Mexican restaurant. Food was fresh and delicious. Had the surf and turf quesadilla. Excelent.
