   A new hideaway on the way to Austin! Had a great time and enjoyed the open-air ambience. We dined standard seating inside but the doors were open which hosted patio diners. I ordered the Carne Asada plate that was delicious and complemented by warm homemade corn tortillas and delicious nopalitos!

   The atmosphere was very nice. The drinks were great too. Service was very slow and the food was mediocre. The table setting was also very strange. We did not have any napkins or linens for our laps or hands. We had to ask for something to clean our hands with, and our server brought us small square paper bar napkins; which were blowing away with the breeze. I really want this place to survive(it really does have a cool vibe), but they need to step up their service and food quality.

   A unique experience in San Marcos. The food was original and delicious up and down the menu. My wife and I shared six different dishes, and without exception found the food to be excellent. The service at the bar where we sat was also awesome as were the cocktails. A nice addition to the area.

   I tried to make reservations thru Open Table, and no tables were available. I called Balcon and got what I needed. Half the restaurant was empty. Open Table is a waste of time.

    What a fabulous find in San Marcos! We will make a point of dropping in again. Even though it was graduation day, we were able to grab a reservation, service was fast and friendly. And the food was fantastic.
