Underwhelming snd disappointing. It was basically just expensive. Food menu was pretty limited. And food was cold when it got to our table. Don’t recommend. There are many better choices on the west side.

We had a wonderful evening. We chose the chef's table experience and the food was amazing. Chef prepared four courses that made us think - they were quite different than most. My wife is very picky and she loved them all. Highly recommend any visitors to Maui to check it our.

This restaurant is incredibly beautiful and the service was great, but for the price point and reputation of the Ritz-Carlton I expected a great deal more from the food. It was absolutely awful. The appetizer was decent, but the entrees were awful. We left without ordering dessert it was so bad. Beautiful place, but I would never go back. You’re better off packing a brown paper bag and roaming the resort for a spot to squat!

Fantastic meal from start to finish. Everything was on point, as you would expect from a restaurant of this type. My daughter announced that it was the best steak she has ever had. Granted, she is 16 but she was very enthusiastic about her choice.

I recently visited Banyan Tree, expecting an exceptional experience given its reputation. Unfortunately, my experience was underwhelming. The service was just okay, but I couldn’t help but feel unwelcome. The waiter’s demeanor felt dismissive, and there were moments that seemed to reflect discriminatory behavior toward me, which made the experience uncomfortable. As for the food, it was mediocre at best—not what I would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. Overall, it didn’t live up to the standard I was hoping for, both in terms of hospitality and quality.

Thanksgiving Day meal - We had three meals... Salmon, Lobster Gnocchi and one of the Thanksgiving Meal. The Lobster pasta and Salmon were great. The Thanksgiving meal was brutally bad. The Turkey, Stuffing, and Cranberry sauce reminded me of a bad Frozen dinner from the 1970's. The Turkey tasted pre-processed, and the stuffing... which i looked forward to all day... was brutally dry and unedible. $65 for that meal was robbery. The restaurant is nice, and service seemed competent - but desert (horrible banana cream pie) and the very bad Thanksgiving meal wrecked it for the guy paying the bill. Maybe the real Chef was home with family? Hope so.. because that was an embarrassment for a meal.

We would absolutely recommend the Banyan Tree! The food, although pricey, was totally worth it! The vegetables were locally sourced, fresh and amazing!! The meat and fish were cooked to perfection! Service was excellent!
