   The in-house made charcuterie board was delightful; I'll be going back for the vegan blue cheese, vegan camambert, and house-baked bread as soon as possible! Avelo Bar - I'll deal with Toronto traffic any day to visit you :) Intimate, relaxed, upscale and stylish ambiance presenting incredibly tasty, animal-free menu items. Eat green, eat well, eat in style at Avelo bar!

   Loved the menu, the ambiance, and the service at Bar Avelo. Had the cheese board, flat bread, spiced cake from the Bar menu and all of it was delicious. I loved that even their drinks menu was entirely vegan. Can't wait to come back to try the 5 course menu at the Restaurant downstairs.

   Beautiful old home with upstairs and downstairs seating. We sat upstairs and the decor was gorgeous with great music in the background. The service was impeccable and the food was to match. A very enjoyable experience.

   My friends and I went to Bar Avelo for Winterlicious and it was amazing! Staff were very friendly and food was great. I highly recommend the jackfruit empanada. However, my very minor complaint was that our appetizer and entrees took a bit to come out. Overall, amazing place!

   Went for the Winterlicious experience Had the frito funghi, mushroom skewer, and mini cheese board. For drinks I had the Water of life, and their hot chocolate [with some vegan baileys] The food was great and the service was very attentive from the moment I was sat. If you order the hot chocolate, it might take a while because the kitchen takes care of it, but the servers will let you know that, and it tastes great as well. All the food was amazing, the frito funghi was my favourite, it was very crunchy and the pesto that comes with it is delicious. All in all a great experience.

   Lovely and attentive bartender Audrey made delicious drinks and meaningful conversation. Dishes were nicely presented, however, our main courses were served cold (mushroom skewers and flatbread). Cheese plate and Violet Beauregard cocktail were highlights of the meal.

   We were here for winterlicious. It was fantastic! My daughter and I had delicious blueberry sour mock tails, and ordered different selections from the menu so we could share even more yumminess! Highlights for us- the bean soup starter, the king oyster mushroom skewer and the amazing spice cake ( which was brought with a birthday candle for my daughter). Friendly and attentive service, cozy ambience, and delicious food!

   The food was very good. However, the service was very slow. We had a 4-people reservation at 6:45pm on the first day of Winterlicious. Our first course didn't arrive until 8:00pm. As soon as we finished our desserts, we were told that the next reservation was waiting and we were made to feel like we had to leave right away. The staff was nice enough but a lot of adjustments need to be made. As a suggestion, maybe comp something for the diners. It'll be a hard sell to return to this spot.
