Bar Frances is a new American restaurant featuring a European inspired wine list, classic cocktails and craft beer. The menu features small and large plates created by Executive Chef Marcus Woodham

Dinner is served every night starting at 5pm with a menu of small plates, cheese and charcuterie, entrees and desserts.

Brunch is served both Friday through Sunday, offering a wide assortment of brunch classics along with creative new favorites.

Happy Hour is every day from 4pm-7pm with wine, beer and cocktail specials available along with small plates, cheese and charcuterie.

Our covered patio is always open and is a perfect place for a glass of wine, small plates or a relaxing dinner.

                                                                                                          I have eaten there twice recently and it was very good. Not crowded. They take reservations. The food is very good. I would have one constructive criticism for the restaurant. The bread for the grilled cheese and the bread for the avocado toast while delicious is way too rock hard. I could not cut the avocado toast and taking a bite it literally hurt my teeth. You need do you softer bread for the grilled cheese and the avocado toast and probably anything else that’s used in a dish like that. Other than that it was great

                                                                                                          The restaurant was not crowded at all, and that surprised me. But the food and the service were good. The menu is limited. I wanted to substitute fresh fruit instead of a green salad with my omelet and they were not able to accommodate that request. You do have to appreciate a small kitchen that chooses to so what they do well instead of offering a bunch of substitutions. Bar Frances is a really neat place on Freret!
