It was a complete waste of money!! No countdown,ran out of chicken,drinks were watered down. I’ll NEVER pay for ANY events here again!! The ONLY good part was the manager I think his name was Donovan,he was really nice there was nothing that he could do but he was extremely nice.

Seems like they were a little under staff, the food was okay. The drinks a little bit watery and staff was nice

It was NYE. Our resvo was 630p. Only 1 other table in the entire restaurant. The host was very friendly and nice. After that it was a disaster. The first waiter we had, I am pretty sure was on drugs. Forgot all about us. Completely messed up my drink. Got a new server. He was nice but slow and not good. Food was not even hot. We couldn’t wait to leave. Was there 45 mins before they could get the drink order right. Over 10 employees standing around the bar doing NOTHING. Our bill was $300. I still tipped 15% because it was NYE and I have waited tables before but it was NOT deserved. Will not go back. Only went because it was NYE and every place we wanted to go to was booked. I now know why this place had so many openings. Just TERRIBLE!!!!!!!

The drinks and food are great! This restaurant is next door to a jazz club and a perfect spot to meet up with friends and family before a show.

Never need to go here again. The whole place was dirty and very aged. Bathrooms were awful, drinks were awful, & tables were sticky with built up use (like a public stair railing that's never cleaned). There are too many other options in Chicago, go anywhere but here.

We started the evening, waiting 10 minutes to be greeted by our server. It took about 20 to 25 minutes to get glasses of water. The restaurant ended up being out of shrimp and grits, which two of our party ordered. The server came back 15 minutes later to tell us that there was no shrimp and grits but didn’t bring us any menus so that we could order replacements.Then she left. When she finally placed the order, she placed the replacements as a separate order. This caused the two people who ordered replacement food to have to wait 20 minutes longer than everyone else to get their meal. was an overall disappointing experience at Bar Louie, and we probably won’t return.
