The neighbourhood Italian restaurant you’ve always dreamed of, Bar Prima features a luxurious atmosphere that evokes a sense of timelessness and nostalgia. The restaurant design captures an old-school charm with dimly lit ambiance, creating an elevated and elegant atmosphere. From Italian disco inspired music to vintage design touches, Chefs Craig Harding and Julian D’Ippolito have curated a space that feels as though it’s been there forever.

Bar Prima can at times feel opulent with its banquets and table lamps but can also feel relaxed and romantic. We seek to share our passion for food, beverage and hospitality, creativity and design with our open-minded guests!

    Join us on the 31st December for an evening of fabulous food and drink, as Bar Prima celebrates the end of 2024 and the beginning of the new year! We'll be running a special 7-course Set Menu for all parties throughout the night, showcasing some of Head Chef Nick's favorite dishes, with options to add on a perfect wine pairing, and even to enjoy an additional caviar service to kick off the meal in true style. Tables booked from 6pm will have a generous out-by time, enabling them to eat well before leaving for later plans, and those booked from 8pm are all invited to ring in the new year with us at Prima, where the Champagne will be flowing! The Set Menu is $180/pp. All drinks and additional options will be available to order on the night.

    Incredible service, menu recommendations, and atmosphere! Had a great time and the wine was very good too. We had trouble with traffic getting there and they did their best to accommodate us in the short amount of time we had.

    It was my first time at Bar Prima and it was outstanding. The staff was super knowledgeable and had best recommendations. The food...to die for! I can't wait to eat there again.

    Bar Prima has great style. It is however very loud making it hard to hear the waitress. The drinks and food were delicious. You are meant to share dishes. Presentation is beautiful.

    I went to Bar Prima for the 2nd time on Sunday. The food and service is amazing. Everyone enjoyed every dish we ordered and shared. The only complaint is that the music is too loud. It was hard to hear what the waitress was saying and hard to hear each other.

    The city needed a restaurant like this. Every single dish was incredibly delicious. The food was coursed out perfectly, presented beautifully and tasted amazing. Each dish was an experience in itself offering modern takes on staple dishes. A big shoutout to the chefs and the whole serving team. Highly recommend this place. 10s across the board.

    My favourite place in town. Italian classics made better. The spaghetti amatriciana was excellent and a must have !
