Bardea, pronounced: bar-DAY-ah, is the Italian term for "the goddess of food and drink." The stunning, 120-seat restaurant utilizes ingredients from local Delaware Valley farms and purveyors, and features modern interpretations of traditional Italian and Mediterranean dishes. In 2019, Bardea Food & Drink received a semifinalist nomination in the James Beard Foundation's "Best New Restaurant" category.

    Last night we made a last-minute decision to go to Bardea for dinner. The place was packed but we sat at a table quickly. The food was so good. We normally get the spicy honey pizza. It was good however lacked enough sauce for the cheese and toppings to stay on the pizza, everything slid off but it was still soo good. Emily was an amazing server and each staff member was knowledgeable and attentive. RUN TO BARDEA!!!

    Our second visit to Bardea Food & Drink. I asked for permitter seating and first was given a 4-person table in the center of the room. Restaurants are always eager to clear out those tables first. We were reseated in an area where the tables were far to close to each other. Might as well been involved in both of my neighbors' conversions as they were very loud. My girlfriend ordered prawns. When these were served, they smelled overly fishy. After tasting one she said they were mushy and sent the two-remaining back. The server did return these, and the manager came to tell us the chief tasted one agreeing with the outcome and apologized for the food. Excellent customer service by doing this. Overall, we were not as pleased with our second visit and will discover other restaurants on Market Street.

    Our waiter was so attentive and kind! The food and drinks were amazing. Highly recommend !!

    Our waiter Jacob was amazing!! Also, the food runner as well - so smart and knew everything! Great night for my bday dinner. So considerate and brought me a gingerale instead of a champagne since I wasn’t drinking!

    Some of the most delicious, creative and amazing dishes available in Wilmington, Delaware. Wait staff is ON POINT! Friendly, informative with a strong knowledge of the menu. MUST TRYS: Burrata Pop Tart, Ribeye, and King Salmon (loved it so much had one order for an appetizer and one for an entree)!

    Bardea is very loud and tight. They have packed an incredible number of tables into the area. We had tried a variety of items. The vegetarian items were good. The octopus pasta was fishy. The other pastas were mediocre. The risotto was good. The fish was not deboned well at all and had to be sent back. I have sent the establishment a private message. They were responsive to the issue which was appreciated. This visit was the first time there.

    Ashley, our waitress was outstanding. Each server did a great job describing each dish they delivered. Fantastic food! Noise level is excessive. Will most definitely return!

    My girlfriend's and I celebrated our birthdays at Bardea on Saturday. We had a wonderful time. The food was great and the service was impeccable.
