Várkert Bazár, a building with an extraordinary atmosphere, is a neo-renaissance miracle dreamt up by Miklós Ybl around the end of the 19th century. This place has a long history, and it had always played an active role in the life of Budapest during the last 130 years. In the beginning it gave home to traders, artists and exhibitors, then it became the center of youth events. Keeping the spirit of its tradition, we are always giving the best our consumers. In everything. Living history, pulsating culture and exciting culinary arts: this is Várkert Bazár. Traditional and classic – modern and novel – these are the main features of our dishes and, thanks to ‘fusion cuisine’, our guests can also expect a delightful surprise in every taste! What is fusion cuisine? We have paired fine traditional Hungarian food with characteristic international flavors.

Really nice setup with excellent cocktails and very tasty food. The staff was super friendly and very attentive to my friend’s allergies, making sure that everything would be fine and safe for her. Highly recommend this place for a nice evening out with a view of the Danube!
