Barolo Ristorante, located in the heart of downtown Seattle, offers old-world northern Italian dishes crafted with a contemporary presentation, using natural and organic products and ingredients, many from the Pacific Northwest. The wine list includes more than 400 notable labels and varietals from around the world, specializing in Italian selections. The restaurant also hosts a lively bar offering specialty cocktails, grappa, and late night dining. Barolo’s smart Italian style is represented by lush textures, fabrics and ornamental design trends, merged with warm and comfortable accessories like hanging glass chandeliers over a large communal table, dark wood finishes and an abundance of flickering candlelight.

Had a fantastic dinner with a friend here. Our server, Nick, was exceptional—friendly, knowledgeable, and refreshingly candid about the menu. His admitted skepticism about a seasonal dish, followed by his genuine surprise at enjoying it, made for great conversation and built instant rapport. My friend loved the gnocchi with sausage, while I opted for a beautifully prepared fish in a butternut squash broth—exquisite, especially with the Pinot Noir Nick recommended. I ended on a high note with cannoli and Amaro. Great food, welcoming service, and a good vibe—my second visit, and certainly not my last.

Food was delicious and service was great. I did not appreciate the 3.5% surcharge on the bill to “keep the menu prices stable”. It is dishonest and I wish they would just set the menu prices properly. The surcharge is disclosed on the menu but I shouldn’t have to read the fine print and do math to know the price of my meal.

Found this gem a few years back while staying at the Marriott accross the street. The happy hour is the best valued happy hour I’ve ever been to. The food is delicious and truly outstanding. On our recent trip to Seattle we ate there two nights in a row!

Excellent service. Quick, efficient, sophisticated. Great food, with surprising european style sauces. The restaurant was full by 5:30 on regular Tuesday, for a good reason. Also, no kitchen or bar delays.
