   Sat at the Chefs table. Got to watch the workings of the food prep. It was like watching "The Bear". Very entertaining and a great time interacting with the staff. all were engaging. We got to see future dishes we will want to try on our next visit. Our waitress was very helpful, and her recommendations were great. Awesome margheritas. Loved pork tacos. We will return

   This was my second trip to Barrio Costero. My first experience was sitting at the bar, drinking wonderful margaritas and sampling menu items. This time I asked a group of 3 to join us for dinner. The experience was less than stellar. The menu tries to be trendy, but it's just pricey with little variation. The quality of the food just okay. My dinner party was hard-pressed to find items that piqued their interest. When the food arrived they had duplicated my order and neglected to place the order for one of my guests. When this was mentioned to the wait staff, the correct entree was given to my guest AND we were charged for the duplicate item that we didn't want or need. I feel like Barrio Costero is trying to be trendy, and it isn't working.

   On Wednesday, March 12th, my party of 3 participated in the Mezcal & Mole’ class at Barrio Costero. WE HAD A BLAST! There were only 7 attendees in total, making it possible to really engage with the chef and bartender as we learned how to make mole’ and different cocktails! Chef Izzy is an amazing chef with a unique culinary point of view! I had heard so often that mole’ is extremely difficult to make, but Chef Izzy really broke it down into simple, easy to understand steps! Then it was cocktail time! Bar manager Jamie showed us how to make a few different cocktails and educated us about mezcals and tequilas! The evening ended with everyone enjoying a family style dinner and enjoying the fruits of our labor! If you get the opportunity to attend a future event, I highly recommend you do! And you can always stop by for Happy Hour on Friday! Thanks Chef Izzy and Jamie!

   I had a fantastic dining experience at Barrio Costero! From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly attentive and welcoming. The food and drinks were not only delicious but beautifully presented. Highly recommend!

   My server Mel was great. Very friendly and attentive. The restaurant was loud so I had to shout across my four top but I did like the atmosphere and decor. Although, we did have to do a lot of shuffling around to fit the shared plates on the table for a place whose aim is all shared plates. It’s a fun place to go for a night with friends. The food was not incredible for the portion/price point. It was a little bland honestly, like it was lacking salt. I’ve had much better Mexican food in the “elevated/authentic” category. Drinks were very good. I would go again but I wouldn’t run back.

   Absolutely delicious. In fact the food was very special. This is not your typical Mex restaurant. Also, they have extra special surprises for celebrating a birthday, which surprised and delighted us. Finally, I would recommend sitting at the chef counter. It is a unique experience and worth it. Also Learned about their happy hour specials, which are delicious and with the trip.

    We love Barrio, food, service & drinks are phenomenal. BUT they really need to get their payment terminals figured out. This is the second time we’ve dined and had issues. This time, the people sitting next to us check was added to our bill. Thankfully I noticed, but not something you should have to deal with when you’re spending $200+
