                        This was by far the worst experience I’ve had at Barrio Queen. The service was very slow. I asked for napkins multiple times and never got them. Our waitress was MIA for most of the time. We had a reservation at 745 and didn’t eat till almost 945. The table side guacamole was not as good as it usually is, absolutely no salt. I ordered the chopped salad which is my favorite food item and got half a portion of what I usually get and the shrimp was very overcooked. My friends and family also said some of the meat in their tacos was overcooked and chewy. One of my friends got a different taco than what she order. I was so disappointed as I’ve eaten at Barrio Queen several times at the Tempe location and never had this experience. I will most likely not return and will definitely not be going back to the Gilbert location.

                        Very good and Dominique was awesome. Food very good. Fish tacos needed more fish. Margarita’s were weak, too much ice

                        Server was nice enough but certainly not as attentive and efficient as could have been. Reservation for 5 and seated at a table with silverware and plates for 4 - had to ask for another setting. Spilled salsa on table and menu - took messy menu but didn't not do anything to clean up messy salsa cup or spots on table. Forgot to bring requested cup of ice with iced tea - and had to ask for sweetner. Place was almost deserted but it was a bit in between visits so we could get refills. Service just seemed a bit slow/casual especially given that it was not busy. Food was good.

                        It was my birthday. We waited over 20 minutes for our server to even come ask if we would like water. He eventually did and took our drink order brought them out but not at same time. Eventually asked if we would like an app once we rcvd it we had no plates or silverware. Food came not all at once and by the time table was served first part of the party had cold food. Asked server to clear the table of dirty dishes and he rolled his eyes. He totally dogged the cooks when asked if they sell their own salsa. His words "it's hit or miss on the salsa. It can be salty or you can get a whole tomato". Basically, the last thing he wanted to do was wait on a party of 8. We did speak to a manager....something I detest having to do.....and he changed out our server and discounted the bill.....but it will be a very long time before I return to a Barrio Queen....over the years service and food have declined and that's not just at one location. Disappointing.

                        First thing we noticed when we were sat was that it was freezing inside. They had the rollup door open and it was 45° last night while we were dining. There was music on the patio. Poor guy must’ve been freezing. He was good though! Literally took 15 minutes for someone to greet our table. When the server walked up, he had a confused look on his face and asked if anybody had greeted us yet, and we said no. So he took our drink orders. Then one minute later, a girl walked up to the table and greeted us and said that she would be our server. We informed her that somebody just took our drink order and she said she would go sort it out. She came back with no drinks and said she would be our server and then five minutes later we got our drinks. We ordered the queso appetizer from her, but it never came. We sat down at 7:45 PM and our dinner order was finally taken at 8:38 PM. Our food came out a half hour later. The enchiladas were cold. My burrito was warm, but not hot. At this point, I informed her that our queso never came and she said she’d take it off the bill . Overall, it felt like a bunch of kids were running the restaurant. I never saw anybody who look like a manager. Luckily I was meeting up with friends I hadn’t seen in 10 years so we were overall not bothered by the slow service since we wanted to chat and catch up. But I think if we were there dining with our usual friends, probably would’ve got up and left. This is unfortunate. I’ve been to other barrio Queen locations, but this was my first time at the Gilbert location so I know this is not a typical barrio queen experience. Everything was just off.
