                                                                                            Everything was great, except for check-in. We let the hostess know we were there, gave her our name and time of reservation. She asked us to wait a moment. As we were waiting, she sat people who came in after us. After about 10 minutes, we inquired as to why we weren’t being seated. It turns out she never did check us in. They apologized and sat us right away. The rest of the evening was wonderful.

                                                                                            The food and service were exceptional. My wife and I had Seafood Bake and Seafood Pasta Alfredo. The food was outstanding BUT, the servings were so large that we took home enough food for the entire next day. Which leads me to my purpose. Everyone is feeling the financial crunch. Why not make the entres smaller aka a meal for one and reduce the price? Our appetizer, Crab Toast, was $34.00. It did have 4 pieces but we couldn't eat it all. We had 2 LARGE rolls each that we couldn't eat. Our 2 meals without appetizers or drinks was $80.00. And, I know the answer to my next dilemna : don't drink alcohol! It was New Years' Eve and we had 4 drinks between us totaling $55.00. Again, the food was great, the drinks were good, and our server, Haley, was wonderful. It just started the New Year off with a rather LARGE expense and waaaay too much food! . Hope this helps and Happy New Year to all!!!!!!!!!!!!

                                                                                            My guest and I had lunch at Basta Pasta the Friday before Christmas and there was not a seat to be had except at the bar. The noise level was awful, as you can imagine. Service was for the most part poor and understaffed. There were 3 waiters trying to take care of a full house. It took us 2 hours to be waited on, asked what we wanted to order, get served, get our sodas/coffee, etc. My friend said her meal was delicious and mine was mediocre. My friend did not get her salad and bread until she asked for it. It was supposed to have come with her meal. This is the first time I have seen the service to be poor and attention to customers so bad.

The only negative I had was that when I made the reservation, I asked for a wheelchair accessible table. Instead, they stuck us at a table that was not at all easy to get to

                                                                                            Basta Pasta's lunch menu is very good with lots of choices. Our only complaint is the calamari was tough and not tasty. We did not eat much of it or take it home. Our entrees were just the opposite and we both ate almost everything on our plate. My friend had eggplant parmesan and I had a surf & turf salad that I thought was awesome.
