Bastible is located just a short stroll from the landmark St Patricks Cathedral in the vibrant postcode of Dublin 8.
The restaurant overlooks the junction of Clanbrassil Street and South Circular Road in what was once the old Jewish quarter of Portobello.

Chef Killian Walsh leads the kitchen team and creates seasonal tasting menus using his varied and considerable industry experience. Bastible was awarded a coveted Michelin Star in 2022 and proudly retains it today.

Bastible's atmosphere is relaxed and inclusive. There is no required dress code and we pride ourselves on friendly and knowledgable service.

    For one night only Adam Nevin from the newly Michelin starred The Morrison Room at Carton House Hotel in Co Kildare is cooking alongside Bastible head chef Killian Walsh. The tasting menu will feature signature servings from both restaurants for €140 per person. Expect a fun evening of collaboration and creativity with early or later sittings available.

    Cibo e servizio ok, nella norma per un stellato. Unica nota negativa è la sala che puzzava. C'è una parte di cucina in sala ma la areazione non è all altezza e l'odore dei cibi cucinati sul momento si Mischiano a quello del cibo che avevo nel piatto. A fine serata i vestiti puzzavano.

    Enjoyed every stage of the tasting menu. Main on the day we visited was pidgeon and it was cooked to perfection, was to die for. I could taste poultry and liver at the same time in one dish. Service was great and I liked the open space and the table layouts. Enough space between tables. (Often times, you get squashed into smaller spaces in other city restaurants.) I’d visit again.

    Amazingly lovely food, very calm and welcoming atmosphere, and super attentive staff. Couldn't recommend more highly! They were really friendly about allergy requirements we had and made it very special for my wife's birthday. We both had a wonderful time and will be back

    Excellent food and wine pairing, very chilled out, friendly atmosphere. A must try when in Dublin.

    Went for tasting menu. Food was excellent. Service was not timed correctly and so we had large gaps between dishes and then consequently rushed and not allowed to finish our €25 glass of wine at the end. Ill informed and charging a lot for zero knowledge on their wine selection, unable to provide recommendations based on individual taste. Overall would not return as it wasn’t fairly priced and the poor service unfortunately outweighed the fantastic food quality
