Bastion is the 24-seat restaurant of James Beard Foundation Award Nominee Chef Josh Habiger. It is located in a separate area within the casual cocktail bar of the same name, and it is a part of the Wedgewood Houston neighborhood of Nashville, TN. Bastion's dining room features counter seating around the kitchen for parties of 2 as well as three tables for parties of 3 to 6. Bastion's small team serves a weekly set menu of six dinner courses featuring many dishes with a wide variety of flavors, ingredients, and inspirations. Friendly service guides you through the culinary experience, which also features wine pairings, creative cocktails, and a curated vinyl soundtrack. Come early or stay late in the hidden Little Bar, which is a private offering for guests of the restaurant.

I made reservations a month out for my wedding anniversary surprise dinner. Reservation making was easy and smooth, the deposit and price were all extremely worth it, the food was by far the star of the show, the wine pairings elevated the experience and complimented the courses beautifully. The ability to interact with the chefs while sitting at the bar highlighted their passion of the dishes they created. The exclusivity of dining in an intimate setting was perfect for conversation with my wife and guests around us.

Amazing Chefs! amazing food! We were stuck behind a train afraid of missing the reservation & the host directed us through streets to get there! Everyone working here was great!

This is our favorite restaurant. It is not really a restaurant, it is an experience. The service is ALWAYS over the top from the minute you step in until the last step out. the food is surprising in an amazing way. The atmosphere is perfect. Great music but not so loud that it interferes with conversations and not so soft that you hear other guests conversations. Always get the wine pairings, Eric is an amazing sommelier. Just a perfect evening always.

Our greeter & waiter Chris was absolutely awesome. Chef Diana even better. Sommelier wasn’t super helpful and kind of brash. Shoutout Chris and Diana tho.

Absolutely perfect culinary experience! The Somm Erik really knows his stuff. I wish I got more names but it was so nice to have that kind of experience without even a bit of stuffiness. Can’t recommend enough.

Absolutely, terrific restaurant, service, food, ambience love the private bar while waiting to sit down. One of the best dinners I’ve had in Nashville, yet.! Cannot recommend it enough

Absolutely loved Bastion. It’s intimate and off the beaten path. The team is knowledgeable and phenomenal in what they do! We had a fabulous time and highly recommend!
