We came here for New Years Eve since the menu looked amazing and it did not disappoint! Each item was delicious and the wine pairing was perfect. The servers and staff were friendly and helpful.

Lovely restaurant with charming Paris Métro decorations, but probably better for lunch or business/casual environment than holiday night special occasion. Delicious menu, too, with a variety of classic and more modern French dishes. Fabulous bread, both regular and gluten free. Onion soup, escargot, black bass, mushrooms, and parsnips delicious. Some diners found some of the dishes over salted, and although we loved the unique presentation of the green salad (in a column!), less dressing would have been an improvement. (I found a few of the dishes over-oiled). All in all, a nice place, with room for improvement, though not up to the quality of Petit Robert. I’d come back.

We were excited to come on Christmas Eve for the Christmas menu. I had the roasted and vines, which came with a little goat cheese, and then beef tenderloin glaze potatoes and beef jus. The beef was a major disappointment. I asked for medium well and got a dried out burnt on the outside two piece offering. The second one that they brought was only someone better but at this point I know what to do which is to never ask for a third try of what I ordered so I eat it and it was tasteless as was the jus. We took two of the chefs Bouche de Noel home with us and found out that instead of a slice of each we got a half slice of each and a side of melted vanilla ice cream and scattered salted nuts thrown on top. Definitely not the menu I was looking forward to. My husband was similarly disappointed with the foie grad and the Seabass. I have come there many times but this time, except for our very cheery waitstaff, was just usually disappointing.

A few months ago, a friend and I tried Batifol's all you can eat Steak/Frites Sunday offering. It was delicious. The steak was tender and just the right amount of pink inside. The service was excellent and we were very pleased with our outing; so pleased that I have been bragging how great it was and so invited my grand-nephew (who loves steak/frites) and his partner to join me on Dec. 15 for the Sunday night special as a holiday gift. What a disappointment! This time the steak was overcooked, dry and tough. We asked for another helping of rarer steak. While a second helping of french fries arrived relatively quickly, it took forever for our rarer meat to arrive. The frites were cold by then and the steak was indeed rarer but so full of gristle that it was all but inedible. Most of mine was left on the plate. My guests were polite and my grand-nephew loves the fries. I would have given a one star rating except for the much appreciated french fries and the green salad. And our waitress tried her best to serve us. I have enjoyed many meals in the partner restaurant of Batifol in Paris: Le Relais de l'Entrecote. It is one of the first places I go to when I am in Paris. The food has always been excellent. I have tried to contact Batifol about the meal but have had no response from them. I had hoped that the restaurant would be on my list of favorites. Not now.

We made the reservation for the Alsace Wine dinner. Food was so good, and the wines were chosen perfectly. The sommelier was really helpful and took time to go around to explain the wines, it made the experience even better! Can’t wait for the next event!!

The food was really average at best. The feuilleté au courges was not a feuilleté at all, but a salad with a tiny bit of feuilleté bread. Very disappointing. The boeuf tartare that was remarkably bland. My wife, a good cook and loves fish, left most red snapper and veggies uneaten. One can do a lot better.
