BEAR Hockley is perched slap-bang in the middle of Nottingham's creative neighbourhood. With its small red frontage nestled in amongst the rainbow colours of Carlton Street, the store has a lot more to show off inside than first meets the eye. Expect light, breezy decor, cosy coffee & cocktail nooks, and (our favourite feature) a beautiful glass roof that floods the place with natural sunlight.

    Glad we booked as most tables were reserved for Sunday brunch. The Turkish eggs were really delicious

    We went for dinner - the atmosphere was great and there was a live musician. The service and food was great with also a good deal for cocktails.

    we went for valentine’s day, they had a live singer who was using our table but they quickly sorted us out with a new one, the singer really added to the atmosphere. we both ordered the chicken parm burger which can with some chips, it was lovely!! Service was great! Was in and out within an hour- food came in 15 mins. I’ve been before to Bear for the Brunch menu and always enjoyed it and the evening menu is just as special. Would recommend. Portions do run the tiniest bit small (i’m not completely stuffed at the end)

    The food is quite pricey but very delicious, the cakes are amazing and the drinks are also very yummy

    We had to go to the bar to order and get water by ourselves.. essentially we weren’t serviced.

    We had a lovely family brunch at Bear, Nottingham. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food & drinks were lovely. It’s our second visit and we will definitely be returning.

    Great food, friendly staff. Not so keen on the fact that you have to place your order at the bar now rather than at the table, as it makes it a less relaxing experience.

    This is the second time I've been to Bear and I really like it. The food is lovely and the coffee is brilliant. Friendly staff and a great atmosphere.
