Innovativo

Tapas originated in Andalucia, a Southern province of Spain, and are considered a fundamental way of life. These tasty small dishes are traditional Spanish dishes found in every bar, cafe, restaurant, and home. A tapa is an appetizer or snack in Spanish cuisine that can be combined to make a full meal and can be cold (such as mixed olives and cheese) or hot (such as gambas al ajillo (shrimp in garlic) or patatas bravas). We wanted to bring this culinary experience to the heart of East Greenwich creating a shareable experience, transporting our guests to Southern Spain with a variety of diverse flavors and wine pairings that will entice their tastebuds.

Went here for Valentine’s Day and we had a great time. We got there about 45 min early because traffic was crazy so instead of going to a cocktail bar and risking being late for our reservation we just decided to have some drinks at the bar while waiting for our reservation. The Sangrias were delicious and the bartenders were really nice and accommodating. They ended up seating us early which was nice. The restaurant was as busy and had a great ambiance everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and we were too. We had the oysters (so good) it was my dates first time trying oysters and she loved them. We also tried a bunch of tapas plates and everything was delicious especially the Croquetas with the guava sauce. I wanted more. We also had the pork belly which was good. Our piece was really fatty with not too much meat but the flavor was great. Probably was our least favorite only because it was all fat but I’m not someone to complain as I work in the industry I ate it anyway. The shrimp was really good. Overall we had a great time all around. Will definitely be back to try more options. Thanks for a nice night guys. Great job.

I had never dined at Besos until this evening. It was an amazing evening for my wife and I. The ambience there is the best of what East Greenwich has to offer. And the food and drink were scrumptious. One more thing, the soft music of artists from the 80s, WOW!

Casual atmosphere, food and service excellent. Manager also came to our table to check in and chat a little bit. Nice touch!

I ordered the cinnamon dough boys and they were out. I then orders the lobster Benedict and it was served at room temperature without hollandaise. I asked for hollandaise and received a confused look and “oh…you want that?” She brought the hollandaise and it was cold. The eggs were very overcooked - hard yolks and the whites were like plastic and inedible.

Not the best experience. We ate at the bar a couple of weeks ago and had a great experience so we thought we’d come back with friends and eat in the dining room. Shrimp, nuts and olives were good. I ordered hangar steak with no sauces and crispy cauliflower no sauces. What I got was steak sitting on soupy sauce and deep fried, breaded cauliflower. I sent the cauliflower back and asked for another plate to move my steak to a clean plate. The waitress told me that I did not ask for sauce on the side. I know I did, but didn’t appreciate her debating it with me. Whether she believed I did or not, she should have just corrected it. We got cappuccino at the end of our meal because we ordered this a couple of weeks ago and loved the cappuccino and the biscotti that came with it. This time it was barely warm with no biscotti. I asked about the biscotti and was told by the waitress that sometimes it comes with biscotti and sometimes it doesn’t. What?? I had to ask for biscotti and she did bring it. All in all, we all felt it was an average meal, not well trained staff, and overpriced for the quality. Very disappointing.

Always enjoyed Besos been going with my friend for years. Went last night was unaware the menu changed with very limited meat choices except a Burger which was ok. Waitress was very attentive. Was a little put off when my friend and I had half a drink left and was told by the bartender/waitress that it was 9pm and she was the only one there to close.(In other words finish and go quickly) Both my friend and I needed to use the restroom before leaving and she had already turned off the lights! We had to use the restroom in the dark!! When we were leaving we told her and her response was I turned them back on. We told her how rude is was to rush us out and the response was I've been here since 1030am. Meanwhile we spent 150$ on dinner!! Never again how rude!

Besos is a charming restaurant with lovely ambience and great service. We really enjoyed our tapas, especially the burrata and jamon Serrano. Highly recommend and will definitely return!
