   Expensive for afternoon tea Friendly staff but waited 15 minutes for order to be taken once seated. Could not hear piano as noisy

   Noisy,hard to hear each other speak due to three factors . . . Too many people packed in there, flat ceiling bouncing back the sound and loud piano right next to our table Service was slow and mediocre which meant we didn’t feel particularly well looked after Delicious food, tea and champagne!

   We had a fantastic experience at Bettys , the food was delicious, and though it appears expensive at first , the fact you are asked whether you wanted extra food and drink made it all worthwhile, the staff were brilliant, nothing was too much and was always greeted with a smile , I would most certainly recommend for anybody interested, Thank you Betty’s

   Excellent experience. A lovely ambience with the pianist The food was lovely and you could ask for extra sandwiches and tea. For a celebration it was just perfect

   Exquisite Afternoon Tea in the Imperial Room. Lovely ambience and fantastic service. Both savoury and sweet items were full of flavour and the scones were perfect. Definitely recommend booking the Imperial Room to avoid queues and to soak up the atmosphere.

   Betty's Tea Rooms is 60 miles away from out home and takes us 90 minutes to drive so it's got to be a special occasion to visit them. My wife and I went for afternoon tea to celebrate our birthdays. We've been once before and it was a great experience. This visit was as good if not better than previously as everyone works so hard to make it special for everyone. The quality of the food and drinks is superb and they don't rush you. It remains a special place to visit.

   After we were shown to our table we were simply ignored for quite a long while. With no one seeming to take notice or telling us how things run. After a while we were able to order food and when we did receive it (which went really quickly) we assumed we'd be given a description of what we were about to eat - but to our surprise the waitress just left. She was smiling and very sweet, just not particularly service-minded. Not that we didn't manage to see for ourselves what we were eating, but it would've been nice with at least some information. Overall it was a very pleasant stay and we enjoyed ourselves - except for the piano player who played incredibly loud and we had to shout to one another to be able to talk, especially as we were sitting right in front of the piano. Just as we were about to leave another piano player came along and she played beautifully. She knew exactly what level she could play with for us to enjoy ourselves, and for the last 10 minutes or so we were finally able to both talk and hear ourselves again :)

    A perfect afternoon tea celebrating our daughter’s upcoming wedding. Delicious food and wonderful service from friendly, welcoming and knowledgable staff in a beautiful setting. A trip to the shop afterwards is a must!
